Redefining machine identity for the AI era—replacing static secrets with dynamic, identity-based credentials.

About us

Keycard is on a mission to redefine machine identity for the Internet—helping developers seamlessly connect people, agents, and services across networks, clouds, and applications. As AI-driven workflows grow more complex, Keycard’s dynamic, identity-based credentials ensure every agent and service operates with precise, contextual permissions. We’re building a global identity network backed by open protocols—empowering distributed systems to adapt, scale, and maintain cryptographically verifiable trust. By rethinking secret management from first principles, we aim to delight developers, meet the performance needs of platform engineers, and set a new standard for cloud-era security in an inclusive, collaborative environment.

🎤 Keynote Session at The AI Security Summit — Don’t Miss It! What does the future of agentic AI Security look like? Agentic AI is still a new concept for most organizations. Engineering leaders are learning that PII sprawl and data security is a real challenge holding them back from launching new initiatives. For AI adoption to flourish, it requires a smarter approach to data security that keeps PII out of prompts, logs, and tools in real time. Check out today’s AI Security Summit keynote session featuring Skyflow CEO, Anshu Sharma, who will be joined by Keycard’s Co-Founder, Matthew Creager. They'll share how to unblock AI agents and tackle MCP data security challenges across any model or service, so builders can move fast without the added risk. Keynote Session: What does the future look like for Agent Security? 📅 Wednesday October 22 | 1:15 PM PT 🔗 https://lnkd.in/g5yN-wUc

  • Today we’re excited to announce $38M in funding for Keycard, in a combined seed & Series A led by Andreessen Horowitz, Acrew Capital and boldstart ventures, with participation from Mantis Venture Capital, Tapestry VC, Essence Venture Capital, Exceptional Capital, Modern Technical Fund, Vermilion Cliffs Ventures, and many incredible angels. Keycard is the identity and access management platform for AI agents. We’re building the trust pillar that allows developers and enterprises to safely move from experimentation to production in the agent-native era. Software is evolving from static code into dynamic systems of AI agents that act across tools, APIs, and networks on behalf of people and businesses. This transformation will redefine how software is built, secured, and governed. To make that shift possible, agents must become trustworthy by design. They need clear identity, strict access boundaries, and deterministic guardrails that ensure they operate within the intent of their users. That’s where Keycard comes in. Keycard gives teams the ability to: 🔹Dynamically grant and revoke access based on task and context 🔹Bind every agent action to real identity, policy, and audit trails 🔹Integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise identity and networking systems Just as the internet required encryption and the cloud required federated identity, the agent-native era requires a new trust pillar that spans humans, systems, and autonomous agents. We’re proud to be building that foundation. 👇Official announcement link in the comments. #AI #Security #Agentic #Infrastructure #Keycard
