    A remarkable example of teamwork, precision and advanced care close to home. 💙 A multidisciplinary surgical team at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute recently completed a highly complex cancer surgery involving the removal of a kidney and tumor requiring advanced vascular precision and coordinated care across multiple specialties. Through careful planning and teamwork between surgeons, anesthesia teams and operating room staff, the procedure was completed safely and successfully with the patient now recovering well. “This case shows what is possible when specialists come together with a shared focus on the best outcome possible for the patient,” said Ryan Bird, MD, vascular surgeon at Kaleida Health.
