Co-Managing Partner Randy Mehrberg is serving as co-chair of the The Chicago Bar Foundation's 2026 Investing in Justice Campaign — the first time in the Campaign's 20-year history that it has been led by co-chairs. Jenner & Block hosted the kickoff event at its Chicago office on May 5.   Alongside Laura Stein, General Counsel of Mondelēz International, Randy is helping to drive an initiative that unites thousands of lawyers and legal professionals across more than 130 organizations in support of access to justice for all residents of Chicagoland. The anniversary carries special significance for Jenner & Block: the firm was one of the 20 founding organizations that launched the Campaign in 2007, with Partner Tony Valukas serving as its first Chair. This year, the Campaign's impact again will be further amplified by the CBF's foundation and government partners, and every dollar donated this year will generate $2 in grants and support for legal aid organizations across the region.   Learn more: https://lnkd.in/g-swcvYP

On June 3, Partner Greg Boyle will speak on a panel at the Practising Law Institute (PLI) Understanding the Securities Laws 2026 program. His panel, "Navigating Ethics and Professionalism Requirements in Securities Law Practice," will address the professional responsibility rules and best practices that lawyers in SEC practice encounter regularly. Congratulations to Associate Arie T. Feltman-Frank selected as a 2026 Rising Star Award recipient by the National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC), one of the country's leading immigrant rights organizations. On May 21, Special Counsel Carl Wedoff participated as a panelist at the New York City Bankruptcy Conference, one of the American Bankruptcy Institute's (ABI) largest annual gatherings of insolvency and restructuring professionals.   Carl spoke on the Litigation Roundup panel, addressing recent developments in liability-management exercises (LMEs), venue disputes, adequate protection and priming fights, post-confirmation litigation trusts, and the growing use of artificial intelligence in restructuring practice.   Read More: https://lnkd.in/gerZrja2

Partners Howard Suskin and Andrew Vail were each honored at the 2nd Annual Chicago Bar Association Achievement & Recognition (CBAY) Awards. Howard received the 2026 Lawyer of the Year Award, which is presented to an attorney whose outstanding legal accomplishments, professional integrity, and meaningful contributions to the Chicago legal community exemplify the highest standards of the legal profession. Howard has served as The Chicago Bar Association's General Counsel since 2013 and previously served as a member of its Board of Managers. Andrew received the Outstanding CBA Officers Award, presented to Officers who served with distinction during the 2025–2026 bar year. He currently serves as Secretary of the CBA and has been elected to a second term for the 2026–2027 bar year. Partners Stephen Ascher and Charles Riely and Associate Shailee Sharma co-authored an article for Private Equity Law Report examining the regulatory and litigation risks facing the private credit industry as valuation practices come under increasing scrutiny. The piece examines how investor redemption pressures and heightened regulatory focus have put fund managers, boards, and valuation committees on notice — including the SEC's 2026 examination priorities and Jay Clayton's public warning that "sketchy marks" in private market valuations had drawn prosecutorial attention.
