Jefferies was delighted last week to partner with the Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA) to host a luncheon on 'Capital, collaboration, and connection – opportunities and challenges: Insights from women leaders in finance'. Stephanie Hui, Chairwoman for HKVCA, kicked off the event with opening remarks, and was joined by panelists Diane Raposio, Head of Asia Credit and Markets, KKR, and Felicity Chan, Head of Asia ECM Syndicate and SEA ECM Origination, Jefferies. Senior leadership from Jefferies also joined to support the initiative and Jefferies’ growing franchise in Asia, including Raphael Bejarano, Global Head of Investment Banking and Capital Markets, Christopher Laskowski, Head of Asia Investment Banking, Lars Erik Aagaard, Head of Financial Sponsors, Asia, and Misi Tang, Head of Diversified Industrials, Asia. The speakers offered insight into their leadership journeys, whilst celebrating diversity and inclusion within the finance community, and bringing together women in the industry. Other key topics explored were how capital is raised and allocated with purpose, collaboration, and how authentic connections - among peers, mentors, LPs, and advisors - sustain careers and broaden opportunities.
