Yesterday was a strong reminder of what we’re really building at Lane. We had a room full of learners who came in anxious about parking and left as confident drivers. More importantly, every single attendee has gone on to buy their own car after learning with us. One even drove straight to a dealership after their 4th class. This isn’t just a learning outcome, it’s an economic trigger. When someone learns to drive confidently: Car ownership accelerates Decision-making improves Trust in mobility increases Lane is evolving: An entry point to car ownership A trusted layer for decisions (manual vs Autimatic, maintenance, servicing) A high-intent community of first-time car buyers Which opens up downstream opportunities across: financing, insurance, servicing, and upgrades The most unexpected moment Learners asked how they could be part of our next funding round That’s when it’s clear We’re not just building a product We’re building trust and long-term alignment Onward 🚗

🧠 How Family Teaching Creates Generational Self-Doubt Ask a first-time driver in India who taught them first, most will say: “My dad / uncle / cousin.” And the story is usually the same: a tense morning, a shaky clutch, loud corrections, and a quiet thought, “I’ll learn properly later.” Family teaching comes from ❤️ love. But it often creates pressure instead of confidence. Here’s why: 👨👩👧 Parents want you to learn fast 😟 Learners don’t want to disappoint ❌ Mistakes feel like failure 👀 Corrections feel like judgement The car becomes a place of stress, not growth. In many Indian homes, driving is treated as a test of: – discipline – obedience – “maturity” But real driving needs: – patience – calm – room for mistakes – independent decisions When expectations clash with emotion, 💥 confidence takes the hit. That’s why many adults avoid driving not because they can’t, but because their first experience taught them they weren’t good enough. The good news 🌱 Self-doubt isn’t permanent. Change the environment, remove the pressure, and people relearn confidence faster than they expect.

🎓 What Gen Z wants from a learning experience (that no traditional school understands) After training hundreds of first-time young learners, one thing is clear: Gen Z doesn’t want instructions. 👉 They want immersion. They don’t want bookish training. 👉 They want real-world competence. They want to drive in traffic, not empty grounds. They want slopes, not just straight roads. They want to learn what actually happens, not what the manual says should happen. 🚫 Traditional systems still run on a “finish the syllabus” mindset. But Gen Z learns in loops: Try → Fail → Adjust → Retry 🔁 They value: ⚡ Convenience 🕒 Flexibility 📣 Instant feedback 📊 Visible progress Most importantly, they want learning to feel like growth, not compliance. And this is the biggest gap in most training systems today. Gen Z isn’t difficult to teach. They’re just done with outdated methods. Give them context, challenge, exposure, and autonomy and they’ll learn faster than any generation before them 🚀

Learning to drive is a lot like finding product-market fit. 🚗💡 Messy at first, stalling at intersections, overthinking every turn, wondering if you’re doing it right. But then, one smooth gear change, one confident move… and suddenly, it clicks. Everything just flows. The struggle is real. The payoff? Absolute freedom. How many of you felt this same “aha” moment with a product or a car? 👀
