Osteoporosis affects millions of women and is often called a “silent” disease because many people don’t know they have it until a fracture happens. Screening can play an important role in understanding #BoneHealth and fracture risk. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DXA) scans can give healthcare providers a holistic look at someone’s bone density, fracture risk and body composition — all important measures that can help determine the risk for injuries that can significantly affect a person’s quality of life and mobility. Learn how DXA technology works and why screening matters: https://heyor.ca/EjvhUN #OsteoporosisAwarenessMonth

We’re excited to share new data at #ASCO2026 demonstrating how the Breast Cancer Index (BCI™) Test may help guide treatment decisions for patients with early-stage, HR+ breast cancer. In an ongoing study of over 2,800 patients, physician recommendations for extended endocrine therapy changed following BCI Testing, leading to a 30% increase for patients identified as likely to benefit and a nearly 40% decrease for those unlikely to benefit. “Understanding who is likely to benefit from extended endocrine therapy is critical to personalizing care,” said Sami Diab, MD, Medical Director, Oncology at Hologic. “Findings from the BCI Registry Study continue to highlight the real-world impact of the Breast Cancer Index Test in helping physicians make more informed treatment recommendations for their patients.” Read the announcement: https://ow.ly/KO9x50Z4cmi

Members of our Surgical Solutions team came together at our Marlborough headquarters this week for a volunteer event with Dignity Matters, Inc., a Massachusetts-based nonprofit working to end period poverty. Our team packaged 10,000 tampons and included personalized notes of encouragement, providing a month of support to approximately 500 women. Access to these products is about more than health; it’s about confidence, dignity and the ability to move through daily life without barriers. Thank you to all of our employees who participated in this meaningful activity to support the local community. #WhyHologic #MenstrualHealthAwareness

Why do so many women fall behind on preventive health screenings? The reason is often that they just didn’t know they needed to be screened, said Jody Hoyos, MHA, CEO of the Prevent Cancer Foundation, citing her organization’s 2025 early detection survey at the Hologic Global Women’s Health Index launch in Washington, D.C. Jody’s comments reinforce what the Index revealed: an estimated 1.5 billion women missed essential screenings for cancer, high blood pressure, sexually transmitted infections or diabetes in the past year. “Data is the starting point, but its real value is in how it informs action,” said Dr. Mia Keeys, DrPH, MA, Hologic Director of Global Health and Innovation. “Scaling data-driven approaches and accelerating research into women’s health conditions is critical if we want to see meaningful progress.” In honor of #WomensHealthMonth, read our latest story featuring additional perspectives from Dr. Keeys, our launch event panelists Jody Hoyos, Janet Fleischman and Ritu Sharma, and our moderator Elvina Nawaguna. ➡️ https://ow.ly/BVcI50Z1PLJ

For nearly four decades, Hologic scientist Thomas Kelly has helped advance an important tool for protecting #BoneHealth. Osteoporosis affects millions of people worldwide — especially women as they age, around menopause or during certain breast cancer treatments. Often, bone loss happens silently until a fracture happens. DXA bone density testing aims to help detect that risk earlier. And since the late 1980s, Tom has supported the innovation behind it — helping develop the T-score used worldwide to diagnose osteoporosis and contributing to more than a dozen patents. What once took 40 minutes now takes just a few. Today’s DXA systems deliver sharp, consistent images to assess bone mineral density, fracture risk and body composition. It’s a powerful example of how people, passion and innovation come together to advance #WomensHealth. Read the story: https://ow.ly/hTqc50Z0a4g #OsteoporosisMonth #HealthcareInnovation

It’s #WomensHealthWeek — and the message from this year’s Hologic Global Women’s Health Index is clear: with better data and greater alignment, we have an opportunity to accelerate progress for #WomensHealth worldwide. That was the focus of our recent Index launch in Washington, D.C., where we highlighted how progress remains uneven and too many women are still missing critical preventive screening. According to the Index, an estimated 1.5 billion women worldwide — more than half of the global adult female population — did not receive a single test for high blood pressure, diabetes, cancer or STIs in the past year. Hear what attendees had to say about these findings and explore the data yourself at https://lnkd.in/gimKF5uR. #WomensHealthMonth

Recently, I spent time with our teams in South Korea and Japan. The visit was both productive and inspiring, and it was great to meet with our APAC colleagues face to face. We focused our discussions on how we can continue to raise the bar for quality by continuously improving our processes and strengthening our quality culture. I appreciated the candid dialogue and the thoughtful perspectives shared. What impressed me most was the strong sense of accountability and responsibility in ensuring that patient safety is at the heart of every decision we make. At Hologic, Inc. , quality isn’t owned by one team — it’s something we all stand behind. I’m grateful for the warm welcome from our South Korea and Japan teams and proud to see our commitment to quality in action across APAC. #QualityWithPurpose #PatientSafety

May is #NationalHepatitisAwarenessMonth, an opportunity to highlight the importance of hepatitis testing and early detection. Thank you to our colleagues, including Dr. Richard Smith, PhD, D(ABMM), Manager of Scientific Affairs, who help raise awareness of the science and replication of hepatitis B virus, and how laboratories are central to identifying hepatitis B infection, enabling timely diagnosis, and ultimately supporting patient care.

Many women with heavy periods or uterine #fibroids might feel that it’s something they just have to live with, or that a hysterectomy is their only option. The nurse advocate program aims to help change that. Led by registered nurses Annie Yehudian BSN, RN and Jamie Hosman, the program helps women understand their options for abnormal uterine bleeding and fibroids. The goal is simple: Help women feel informed and empowered when they talk with their doctor. By listening, educating and connecting women with specialists, Annie and Jamie are helping patients navigate symptoms that can deeply affect daily life — and reminding them that they are not alone. This #NursesWeek, we recognize Jamie and Annie, and nurses around the world, for all they do every day to make a difference in #PatientCare.
