About us
We’re an innovative medical technology company whose purpose is to enable healthier lives everywhere, every day. While we discover and develop groundbreaking products and services that benefit everyone, we are especially passionate about those that advance women’s health and well-being. This allows us to be a company that prospers, grows and empowers women to experience healthier lives. None of this would be possible without the talent, skills and aspirations of our employees. Their expertise and dedication to developing and sharing more robust, science-based certainty drives our increasingly global presence, as well as a pipeline that responds to the unmet health and wellness needs of women, families and communities. What powers our growth across Breast & Skeletal Health, Diagnostic Solutions, and GYN Surgical Solutions is also what differentiates us: the exceptional and clinically proven ability of our products to detect, diagnose and treat illnesses and other health conditions earlier and better. This clinical superiority creates high expectations, which we fulfill by always challenging ourselves to improve health through better technology, education and market access. Our goal is to minimize doubt and maximize the confidence our customers and their patients have in their decisions and diagnoses. We work toward this goal every day, always aware that in an increasingly complex and competitive global environment, we must continually earn the trust of our customers and their patients. By focusing on women’s health while still delivering health benefits to everyone, we are setting a new standard of excellence that is strengthened by purpose, driven by passion and brought to life by our promise of more certain early detection and better health outcomes. Meet Tammie L. Adomako, MD, our new Medical Safety Officer. Dr. Adomako brings an OB-GYN's mindset to our global quality and safety work, helping to ensure our technologies support the best possible care for women worldwide. For her, every design review, risk assessment and safety meeting starts with one question: What does this mean for the patient? From integrating safety at the earliest stages of product design to monitoring real-world performance of AI-enabled technologies, she and her team focus on building trust into every device and test. Read how her career in #WomensHealth, and her commitment to seeing the person behind every data point, guides Hologic’s approach to quality: https://heyor.ca/pArlFp #PatientCare

Preventive screening is rising globally, yet 1.5 billion women still lack access to essential tests worldwide. Surveying 145,000 people across 144 countries, the Hologic Global Women's Health Index shows why closing the screening gap must remain a priority. Were you screened or tested for any kind of cancer in the past 12 months? That’s one of the questions we asked 145,000 people across 144 countries and territories to develop the fifth edition of the Hologic Global Women's Health Index. We learned that despite increasing rates of cancer among younger women, only 6% of women reported being screened for cancer last year. In some countries, it’s even lower. In Pakistan and Indonesia, less than 1 in 100 women reported being screened last year. #WomensHealth #WomensHealthIndex

Preventive care must be the foundation of global health strategy. That was the throughline of the launch event in Washington D.C. for the latest Hologic Global Women’s Health Index. We convened public health leaders and women’s health advocates to examine five years of global data, and to confront a persistent screening gap that continues to leave too many women behind. The conversation moved beyond statistics. From a data briefing by our Director of Global Health and Innovation, Mia Keeys, DrPH, MA, to a dynamic panel discussion with leaders Jody Hoyos, MHA from Prevent Cancer Foundation, Janet Fleischman of the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and Ritu Sharma from CARE — the focus was clear: prevention must come first. Thank you to everyone who joined us, to our moderator Elvina Nawaguna from Punchbowl News, and to Gallup for their partnership on the Index and for hosting this important conversation. #WomensHealth #WomensHealthIndex

It’s here: the fifth edition of the Hologic Global Women’s Health Index. This year’s data highlight a persistent global screening gap. An estimated 1.5 billion women did not receive a single preventive test for cancer, high blood pressure, diabetes or STIs in the past year, despite global screening rates rising. In partnership with Gallup, we surveyed 145,000 people across 144 countries and territories to understand the state of women’s health worldwide. Beyond screening, women continue to report high levels of worry, stress and daily pain. The numbers matter. But so do the lived experiences behind them. To better understand those stories, we reached out to women around the world who shared how health shapes their work, families, safety and futures. We heard that prevention cannot begin at the point of crisis. It needs to start with access and screenings. Better global health for women starts with data. It starts with listening. It starts here. #EarlyDetection took center stage recently at an event in Massachusetts that brought together government leaders and healthcare experts, hosted by the New England Council. Our own Phylicia Woods Lisiak, Esq spoke on a panel about how #innovation in advanced imaging and molecular diagnostics, including AI-powered solutions, is helping to improve detection for diseases like breast cancer and cervical cancer — and why it’s important for regulation to keep pace with emerging technologies to continue to advance #PatientCare. #WomensHealth #AIinHealthcare

Thank you to all the patient advocacy groups and experts who joined us at our fourth annual Patient Advocacy Day in Brussels, especially our chairs Athena Lamnisos and Matejka Rebolj. We brought together patient advocates, clinicians, researchers, policymakers and health leaders committed to accelerating progress in #WomensHealth, cervical cancer prevention and ultimately its elimination. Participants shared insights on lived experience, cultural barriers, global screening trends, policymaker engagement and the role of digital innovation and AI in advocacy. Athena reminded us, “You don’t know what you don’t know. By sharing our knowledge and best practices, we go further together."
