Coming together for pool safety! 🛟 Our Code Enforcement team joined forces with the City of Tampa, City of Temple Terrace, and Plant City, along with community and health partners for our annual Safe Pools Day event. Each Code Enforcement team headed out into the community to inspect neighborhood and public pools to ensure they are not only ready for summer use but also meet safety standards that help prevent tragic accidents. Inspectors checked for compliant safety barriers, self-closing and self-latching gates, drain covers, proper signage, and clean, clear water - all part of a checklist designed to reduce risk and protect lives.

⚓️ All aboard! Our inaugural Boating Safety Day was a success! The Hillsborough Marine Safety Unit teamed up with U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Hillsborough County Fire Rescue, and Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office to help boaters stay safe and informed this summer. Boaters were able to stop by to receive a complimentary vessel safety check, pick up loaner life jackets, and learn information about boat safety and preparedness. 🛟
