At HCA Healthcare, nurses are the cornerstone of our mission to care for and improve human life. On the heels of Vietnam Veterans Day, we’re honored to spotlight Marian Bach — a longtime HCA Healthcare nurse leader and retired U.S. Air Force Major who served in Vietnam. Marian began her career in the military in the 1970s, becoming one of the earliest graduates from the Air Force’s nurse practitioner program. After retiring with 20 years of service, she brought her hands-on leadership and clinical expertise to HCA Healthcare. In 1992, Marian began serving HCA Healthcare patients, families and colleagues at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital before transitioning to HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital, where she continues to make a lasting impact. During her 33-year HCA Healthcare career, she has helped expand women’s and children’s services and mentor countless nurses. While recently stepping down from her nursing director role, Marian isn’t stepping away from care. “Being a nurse has meant a lot,” she shared. Marian is transitioning to a PRN house supervisor role where she will have the opportunity to support her fellow colleagues on overnight shifts and also teach classes. Please join us in celebrating Marian’s remarkable legacy and thanking her for her military service. Learn more about Marian’s career journey: https://bit.ly/4bOWUsz. #HCANursing #ImproveMoreLives

  • For a #FeelGoodFriday moment, we are proud to celebrate three-year-old twin brothers Jahleel and Justus, whose journey reflects the power of resilience — paired with expert pediatric care — at TriStar Summit Medical Center’s therapy clinic in Tennessee. 💙 Born at just 24 weeks, Jahleel and Justus faced significant early challenges, including an extended NICU stay and a diagnosis of cerebral palsy. Today, through a coordinated outpatient program that includes occupational, physical and speech therapy, they are making meaningful progress toward key developmental milestones — walking with gait trainers, strengthening feeding skills and confidence in exploring the world around them. Their progress is guided by an experienced multidisciplinary pediatric therapy team that partners closely with their mom, Talitha, to deliver individualized care tailored to each toddler’s needs. “They are incredible advocates for my sons,” Talitha shared. “They’re not just doing their jobs — they show a deep love for your kids.” We’re honored to celebrate Jahleel and Justus, and the TriStar Summit Medical Center team supporting them. Join us in cheering on these precious boys as they continue taking new steps forward. 💙 Read their full story here: https://bit.ly/41t7Ffo. #CareLikeFamily

  • A box of donuts might seem like a small thank you — until you know the story behind it. 🍩 During an HCA Healthcare Leadership Institute session, Dr. Andy Moore, a division chief medical officer and orthopedic surgeon in HCA Houston Healthcare, noticed a small lump in human resources colleague Meghan Schneider’s neck — something she hadn’t seen herself. That quick observation led to an early thyroid cancer diagnosis. Meghan later underwent surgery at HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee to remove the tumor. Throughout her journey, Dr. Moore stayed closely connected, checking in and offering guidance every step of the way. When Meghan asked how she could repay him, Dr. Moore joked, “Buy me a donut.” Before the year was out, she did. “Even the smallest observation can make a life-changing difference, which is why routine exams, listening to patients and staying present in every interaction matter so much,” Dr. Moore shared. “Ask yourself this: Have I been delaying a colonoscopy, skin check or other recommended testing? If the answer is yes, today is the day to get that scheduled. Doctor’s orders!” This Physicians Week, we’re recognizing the physicians who live our mission every day – delivering exceptional care and making a difference in the lives of others. • In honor of National Physicians Week, HCA Healthcare celebrates the more than 44,000 active and affiliated physicians who show up for our patients and communities with skill, compassion and dedication. To our physicians, thank you for your commitment to the care and improvement of human life. Your voice helps shape how we deliver care – strengthening clinical excellence, advancing innovation and helping our teams meet the needs of the patients we serve. Your compassion and expertise make a meaningful difference for patients – and that impact is amplified by the dedicated colleagues who support you. We are grateful for everything you do. Together, we are moving healthcare forward – for a healthier tomorrow. #ImproveMoreLives #NationalPhysiciansWeek

  • This Womens History Month, we recognize the women across HCA Healthcare whose expertise and dedication help deliver high-quality care to patients in communities nationwide. At HCA Healthcare affiliate Methodist Healthcare System in Texas, that impact is felt every day across the Greater San Antonio community. Multidisciplinary teams – from nurses to physicians to other care team members – work together to support patients and families at every stage of life, advancing access, safety and outcomes across women's health, cardiovascular care, emergency medicine and more. Methodist Hospital has been delivering babies for more than 50 years. Today, affiliated OB-GYN physicians Dr. Christine De La Garza and Dr. Elizabeth De La Garza – a mother-daughter physician duo – are proud to serve women and families at the hospital through pregnancy, delivery and postpartum recovery. As one of the few Level IV maternal centers in Texas, Methodist Hospital offers the highest level of care for high-risk obstetric patients. This designation, combined with Methodist Children's Hospital's Level IV neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), enables continuous, leading care for mothers and their newborns. The hospital has also been recognized among the top 5% in the nation for patient safety by Healthgrades for two consecutive years. Join us in recognizing the women who make a difference in healthcare every day. #WomensHistoryMonth #CareLikeFamily

  • On Certified Nurses Day, we are proud to celebrate the certified nurses across HCA Healthcare who set the standard by mentoring others, elevating patient care and bringing knowledge and compassion to every interaction. 🌟Today, we’re spotlighting Jordan Nacalaban, a registered nurse at HCA Houston Healthcare Northwest, who recently earned two additional professional certifications focused on caring for patients before and after anesthesia: Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) and Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA). These advanced nursing certifications reflect specialized knowledge, ongoing learning and a strong commitment to excellence. Certifications can also support patient safety by reinforcing evidence-based practices, and research has linked specialty nursing certification with improved patient outcomes. To Jordan — and all of our certified nurses — thank you for your advanced expertise, commitment to excellence and dedication to delivering the highest quality of care to every patient. Your impact is felt across our network and in every life you touch. #ImproveMoreLives #CertifiedNursesDay

At HCA Healthcare, more than 5,700 residents and fellows within our Graduate Medical Education (GME) program train alongside our clinical teams each year to provide compassionate, patient-centered care. Across our 85 teaching hospitals and 365 programs, these emerging physicians are not only caring for patients today, but they’re also helping shape healthcare for years to come. Today, we’re proud to spotlight Dr. W. Tyler Crawley, a PGY-V general surgery resident at HCA HealthONE Swedish in Englewood, Colorado, whose research is helping advance care for patients with complex upper cervical injuries. Dr. Crawley’s research on combined C1–C2 fractures – rare, potentially life-threatening injuries affecting the top two vertebrae of the spine – earned first place at the 45th SCIOT Orthopedic World Congress in Madrid, Spain, in September 2025. Earlier this year, his work was subsequently published as peer-reviewed research in January 2026. “It is always an honor to have our work presented, and the opportunity to do so at an international event makes it especially meaningful,” said Dr. Crawley. “I am grateful to be part of an exceptional team of researchers whose collaboration and expertise have been both inspiring and educational." Congratulations to Dr. Crawley on this international recognition. When Danelle Majors’ water broke while she was 22 weeks pregnant, she was transferred to HCA Healthcare’s Overland Park Regional Medical Center in Kansas. There, her son Declan began a long and extraordinary fight. Declan spent 168 days in the HCA Midwest Health hospital’s Level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Through every milestone and hard day, the care team showed not only clinical expertise, but compassion. They answered every question, explained each next step and made sure the Majors family never felt alone. When Declan was healthy enough to go home, the caregivers who had cared for Declan for nearly six months lined the hospital’s halls with pom poms and balloons to cheer him on. “It’s one of my favorite things when we line up and have a parade and celebrate such a remarkable journey,” said Dr. Tom Lancaster, Declan’s neonatologist at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. Today, Declan is home and growing stronger every day. His story is a testament to what happens when clinical excellence meets compassionate care in the more than 200,000 babies born annually across HCA Healthcare’s network of care. 🎥 Meet the Majors family and the physicians and nurses whose care and connection made a lasting difference. #HealthierTomorrows #CareLikeFamily
