Genentech's long-standing partnership with the South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department brought plenty of color and creativity this year during Bring Your Children to Work Day! Kids of Genentech employees painted rocks to bring a pop of color in new parks spaces and mixed wildflower seeds to be shared with stewards and community members. We even spotted a few parents joining in on the artistic fun! Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the day so joyful, creative, and memorable.

We need to be mindful of how we treat the Earth—not just today, but every day—because it provides so many of the resources and experiences we depend on. Protecting it means standing against the loss of its most vital gifts: nutrient-rich soil, clean oceans, and the pollinators that sustain our ecosystems. Huge thank you to our partners Friends of the Palo Alto Parks for hosting volunteers at Rinconada Park and allowing us to meet this cute little creature above.

Murals, fresh interior paint, newly re-sanded and painted benches, and plenty of garden care later—the Children's Receiving Home of Sacramento is now brighter and more welcoming than ever. All of this was made possible by the incredible volunteers from Kaiser Permanente, whose hard work brought beautiful new pops of color to the space. A huge thank you for making such a meaningful difference! 💛 This is the last installment of the MLK series and we're so happy to have led such amazing work in our communities. Until next year!

Hundreds of paws were spray-painted by Kaiser Permanente volunteers for the track club 🐾 at Kammann Elementary School. The garden also received some much-needed TLC, keeping the Wildcats’ home ready for learning 🌿 This is the second installment of a series of MLK videos.
