Do you manage an S-Corporation, calendar-year partnership, or LLC and filed a tax extension using Form 7004 in March? If so, remember that the extension deadline is September 15, 2026. And, here are 4 key things to know before you file: 1. 100% bonus depreciation only applies to qualified property acquired after Jan. 19, 2025.  2. The Form 1099-K threshold rose to $20,000 and 200 transactions. If you received a 1099-K last year, you may not this year. The higher reporting threshold means fewer small businesses and side-income earners will receive the form. If it doesn't arrive, make sure your income records are complete and accurate. 3. Many green energy credits have already expired. EV credits ended Sept. 30, 2025. Residential solar and energy-efficiency credits ended Dec 31, 2025. The refueling and new-home credits ran through June 30, 2026. 4. An extension to file is not an extension to pay. Need help navigating these updates?
