The Washington Oregon Cascadia Higher Education Sustainability Conference (WOHESC) was an inspiring deep dive into the future of sustainability on college campuses. Earlier this March, GBI's Christopher Plechot Binder and Malia Widmann were onsite at the University of Washington to "connect with others who are 'walking the walk' and putting bold ideas into practice” (Christopher Binder) WOHESC offers a forum for students, faculty, and sustainability practitioners to advance sustainability initiatives on campuses across the Pacific Northwest. It was encouraging to see major PNW institutions come together to exchange research and breakthrough ideas to improve the built environment. With Green Globes® and Journey to Net Zero™, GBI is committed to helping these institutions build resilient and healthy learning environments: https://lnkd.in/eRPbw7mq

Last week, GBI was in New York City for DatacenterDynamics DCD>Connect New York and a happy hour hosted alongside our partners EkkoSense AI and WB Engineers+Consultants . The room was packed with great people, great conversation, and the energy in the room was hard to miss. We were proud to have GBI's own Megan Baker, MBA and Board Members Marcus Hassen and Phill Lawson-Shanks representing GBI on the stage as featured panelists. Their voices added to what was an outstanding lineup of industry leaders tackling the most pressing challenges in data center sustainability. Both events were full of conversations around power availability, performance optimization, sustainable building materials, and community engagement. We're already looking forward to continuing these conversations at GBI's Better Buildings: Data Centers Seminar, May 5–6 in Dallas.
