Helping people help each other

About us

There are a billion good intentions tucked inside each and every one of us. At GoFundMe, we believe that the impulse to help a person, fix a neighborhood, or change a nation should never be ignored. In fact, it should be shared with the entire world. That’s why we make it easy to inspire the world and turn your compassion into action. By giving people the tools they need to capture and share their story far and wide, we have built a community of more than 200 million donors and helped organizers raise over $15 billion for the causes important to them—and we are just getting started. Check out current job openings, join our team, and be a part of the change below. ## GoFundMe has assembled one of the best management teams in the business to build the next leading consumer Internet company, including leaders from LinkedIn, Groupon, and Google. We are also funded by some of Silicon Valley’s best venture capital firms, including Accel, Greylock, and TCV.

Shay Taylor-Allen was born at Yale New Haven Hospital. At 18, she returned to work there as a janitor. On March 20, 2026 — she matched there as a doctor. After nearly a decade of cleaning hospital floors while pursuing her education, Shay earned her medical degree from Howard University College of Medicine and matched into an anesthesiology residency at the very same hospital where her journey began. Her story has been shared around the world — and rightfully so. As she prepares for this next chapter, Shay has just one month to relocate to New Haven while carrying over $500,000 in student loan debt. She has launched a GoFundMe to help cover her moving costs. If her story has inspired you, consider supporting her final step. https://gfme.co/4v3TVp2

“This is all yours.” 💚💚 Just over a week after a 78-year-old DoorDash driver named Richard showed up at a customer’s door, a moment captured on video sparked a wave of compassion online. Richard had returned to work to help make ends meet after his wife lost her job, with little left over after covering basic expenses and medication. What followed was a community coming together to learn his story and take action. When Richard returned to that same home, the family had something extraordinary waiting for him. BreeSky’s Quesadillas is more than a food stand. It is a story of resilience, entrepreneurship, and a mother building a future alongside her son. Bree started the business with her son Sky, who is on the autism spectrum, after making significant changes in their lives to give him a fresh start. Today, they travel across Los Angeles’ Koreatown and Santa Ana serving made-to-order quesadillas while creating a supportive environment where Sky can build confidence through communication, math, and everyday interactions as the stand’s cashier. What began as selling just a few plates a day has grown into a community favorite. Now, Bree is working to take the next step. To keep up with demand and continue expanding, she has launched a GoFundMe to purchase a work van. This investment would allow the business to grow sustainably while creating even more opportunities for Sky. Support Bree and Sky’s journey: https://gfme.co/4sMU6Ua

After viral Ring camera footage captured a Domino’s driver named Dan going out of his way to buy a customer’s Diet Coke on his own time, people couldn’t stop talking about it. On a busy Friday night, in the middle of deliveries, Dan chose to go the extra mile, a small act that left a lasting impression. Dan has been working this job as a second job for 14 years and is just weeks away from retirement. In response, a community has come together to recognize his kindness and give him the send-off he deserves. It’s a simple but powerful reminder: moments of care and initiative, especially when no one is watching, can inspire thousands. You can support Dan here: https://gfme.co/4temGxn

  • Small businesses are the heart of their communities, and they deserve support when they need it most. Take a look at these five fundraisers uplifting small businesses, from a Puerto Rican café fighting to stay open to a shrimp hatchery keeping American farming alive. 🦐 Minnesota Shrimp: https://gfme.co/4rTNIcs The last shrimp hatchery supplying farms across the Midwest is facing a 6-week gap in income after back-to-back setbacks. Nine farms depend on them. ☕ Little Rico: https://gfme.co/4syENhN A beloved Puerto Rican and Dominican-owned café in the Hudson Valley has seen a 50% drop in sales. Owner Angelica is fighting to keep her community space alive. 🛒 FML Discount Grocery: https://gfme.co/4sRMRdP A historic blizzard collapsed the cold storage unit at this Wisconsin discount grocery, trapping 2½ truckloads of inventory and putting the family business at risk. 🍽️ Babes Country Kitchen: https://gfme.co/4bxR3sT A couple cashed out their retirement to open this restaurant. Now they're racing to buy the neighboring property before the opportunity slips away. ⛽ Parkside Station: https://gfme.co/4dHyF1Y A mother and daughter transformed a historic gas station into a beloved community café. After a string of setbacks including a hospitalization, they need help staying open. If you believe in small businesses, consider sharing or contributing. Every bit helps.

For decades, donor-advised funds have largely been a tool for the wealthy.  High minimums. Opaque processes. At GoFundMe, we’ve seen how generous people are when barriers are low and trust is high. GoFundMe Giving Funds are our effort to extend that same philosophy to donor-advised funds — simpler to open, easier to use, and built for people who want to be intentional about their giving. April is when many people realize what they could have done differently for last year. It’s also the right moment to prepare for the next tax season. I’m proud of the team for building something that broadens access to a powerful charitable giving tool — and for doing it in a way that reflects who we are as a company. https://lnkd.in/giuPpAYD

  • Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by historic flooding in Hawaii. At GoFundMe, we are working around the clock to ensure the community receives the support they need. To make it easier for people who want to help those affected, GoFundMe has launched a centralized hub housing all verified fundraisers related to the flooding in Hawaii, as well as nonprofits providing on-the-ground relief. Our Trust & Safety team will continue to update the hub with more fundraisers as they are verified. Were you or a family member impacted by the flooding?
