We did it! Rebrands can be scary for fundraisers but the work was well worth it to be recognized in this way! Even more importantly, the young people we serve love our new name and look. Check out our AWARD WINNING website when you get a moment. So proud of Team Glisten for this great accomplishment!
We are excited to announce that we won the Webby Award for Best Website in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging category! After a lot of hard work over the past year creating our brand new website, we are proud to accept the award, alongside our design partners at Madeo. Most importantly, thank you to all of our supporters for being part of the Glisten community. Like our new website and brand, this award is a reflection of your dedication to support LGBTQ+ youth and educators, even as we face unprecedented challenges. None of this work could be possible without you. https://lnkd.in/g-64uuG9

We're thrilled to share that Glisten has been nominated for a Webby Award in the Best Website: Belonging and Inclusion category! The Webby Awards are the Internet’s highest honor, and the People's Voice Award is decided entirely by public vote. That means you have a direct say in the outcome. Voting is open now through April 16th, and it takes less than 60 seconds. We'd be grateful for your support — cast your vote now: https://wbby.co/57663N

Tomorrow is Day of Silence, our nationally-recognized demonstration where LGBTQ+ students and allies all around the country protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ+ people in schools. Here are 5 ways you can participate as an adult👇 1. Take a vow of silence in support of LGBTQ+ youth and ask your friends and family to sponsor your efforts. Create a fundraising page using our JustGiving platform (https://lnkd.in/gGqc7hrT) to ask your network to support Glisten’s work. 2. Support a “Break the Silence” event. 3. If you can, set an automated away email reply explaining why you’re silent today and link to https://lnkd.in/gXGDhQnn. 4. Post why you’re participating on social media, using the hashtag #dayofsilence. Use one of our Instagram story templates or create your own. 5. Change your social media profile photo to the Day of Silence logo, or add one of our profile photo frames to your current photo. Find those here: https://lnkd.in/gQq3mUXW We hope we can count on your support to stand up to bullying and harassment of LGBTQ+ students in schools.

Last week, we held an event previewing the latest findings from our National School Climate Survey Report in partnership with the National Education Association, and earlier this week we finally launched the findings to the public! We are excited to release the findings of our most recent National School Climate Survey! Informed by thousands of LGBTQ+ young people from across the country, this survey aims to provide a picture of what schools are like for LGBTQ+ students. New to the report this year, is focus group data that provides deeper insight into these experiences for students across a variety of underserved communities. Stay tuned over the next couple of weeks as we highlight key findings and our recommendations on how to improve schools for LGBTQ+ students. Read the full report at glisten.org/nscs2025, linked in our bio.
