Early-stage legal feels like paying a tax before you’ve even started. When you're moving fast, the last thing you need is the midnight dread of staring at a 'standard' template, wondering if a paragraph you don't understand will haunt you later. I found GitLaw, and it’s a real shortcut. 20+ Free startup legal docs you can use, and edit quickly with AI. Stuff like: - Investment and finance docs - Offer letters and employment basics - Commercial contracts - Privacy policy and terms - IP assignment and consulting agreements - Lawyer-vetted templates - And a few others founders ask for over and over It’s free. You don't have to jump through any hoops. Like this post and Comment legal”, and I’ll send the link. Repost for priority. And if you need something specific right now, tell me what it is in the comments. I’ll check if it’s in there. What’s the one legal doc you wish you’d had on day one? Not legal advice. If it’s high-stakes, get a lawyer to review it. This is a much better starting point than Googling at midnight. ♻️Repost to help other founders in your network. 🔔Follow Luke Tobin for more.

When AI builds the future, contracts have to keep up. Our founder Nick caught up with Manny from Paid.ai to talk about the 200K legal bill that inspired GitLaw, the rise of Legal Agents and the future of law. And of course, they had to cover what really happens behind the scenes on The Apprentice. Together we’ve launched a Master Service Agreement template built specifically for Legal Agents, free to use on GitLaw. 🎧 Listen to the full episode now — links in comments 👇

Covered so many topics incl. BBC Apprentice w. Manny from Paid.ai (prev founder Outreach - $4.4bn val 💸 ). 🔗 Link to podcast in comments. We also published a new Agent MSA on GitLaw as part of the collaboration with Paid.ai - link to blog post and the GitLaw free template in comments 🔗 Some of the many topics we covered: 🏛️ Sales model shock. With EU Data Act weakening vendor lock-in” - will the annual enterprise sales cycles with pricey reps morph or vanish? 🧨 Law firm dilemma. Legacy hourly model is colliding with automation - clients will demand savings but law firm partners will push back hard. ⚡ Speed is a moat. Use Agents well. Agents make legal instant - no queues, visible reasoning, full version history. 📺 BBC Apprentice. Would I do it again? Was it good for business? Are all the contestants incompetent? (and if not, why do they come across that way?) 🗣️ Founder ethos. Take counsel, but own decisions and deliver the tough news yourself.

Paid work with many of the leading agent builders, so they’ve got their finger firmly on the pulse of what the community needs. (ps: congrats again on the huge $21M seed last week! 🎉) On a call with founder Manny Medina a few months back, we quickly realised how little legal guidance exists for AI agents - especially around what terms they should operate under. So we decided to do something about it. Combining Paid.ai's experience, Common Paper 's industry-trusted general MSA and GitLaw's platform - it's awesome to be sharing this standard and our thoughts on some key topics here. Thanks Jake Stein and team for the awesome standards you're publishing at Common Paper 👈 check them out.. we're big fans! Link to the announcement: https://lnkd.in/eXDE3Qvf

We've partnered with GitLaw to launch the Agentic MSA - legal contracts built specifically for AI agent offering. Most agent companies we talk to are using standard SaaS contracts. Those contracts assume software waits for instructions. Passive tools that execute when someone clicks a button - but agents make autonomous decisions. They take actions continuously. They learn and adapt over time. When something goes wrong, standard SaaS-era contracts create a gap between what your product does and what your terms say. That gap can be expensive. Built with Nick Holzherr and the GitLaw team, the MSA is open source and free to use. Available in the GitLaw Community! Legal frameworks lag behind technology. We're building the infrastructure to close that gap. Check out our full announcement below
