While performing routine QA/QC activities, our team identified an unexpected condition within the piping system—a bird’s nest built inside the pipe. This finding highlights the importance of thorough inspections, as even seemingly sealed or inactive systems can become unintended habitats for wildlife. The obstruction was documented and assessed to ensure no impact to system integrity or performance. Appropriate steps will be taken to safely remove the nest and prevent future occurrences, while remaining mindful of environmental considerations. This discovery serves as a reminder that attention to detail during QA/QC inspections is critical in identifying both typical and atypical conditions in the field.
