Wrapping up and reflecting on a magical and inspiring company-wide offsite for Forage this week. We flew out the entire company to spend quality time together in San Francisco, and my heart is so full after spending time with the most talented and passionate group of people I know 🚀 🙌🏼 . Thank you to our incredible speakers: Apoorva Mehta (founder of Instacart), Andre Iguodala (4x NBA champion), and Jake Solomon (co-founder of getcalfresh.org) Our brilliant team hosted quirky & insightful lightning talks ranging from the importance of sleep (Noah Sheikh), a tech guide to traveling Japan (Jerimiah Gazlay), the art of aquarium building (Trey Lanthier), and lessons on optimism from the solarpunk aesthetic (Bryan Wang). Austin Koenig led a merchant panel where we got to hear from our insightful partners including Michael Garbose from Gopuff, Jamie Carolo at DoorDash, and Erin Simpson of Southeastern Grocers. We also hosted a Hackathon centered around solving pain points for EBT recipients that resulted in over 7 new product features we will be incorporating into our Q2 roadmap including improved error messaging and EBT card scanning for the visually impaired.
