As disasters become more frequent and data center expansion reaches an “inflection point” (CNBC), the utility industry is at a turning point. The need for reliable, resilient power has never been greater. After an exciting Silicon Valley trip to receive the prestigious Verizon-MIT Solve Disaster Resilience Prize, FNN™ was invited to CenterPoint Energy to tour their headquarters in Houston, TX, and discuss innovative technologies within the energy space. We connected with leaders who are actively shaping the future of energy for nearly 2.8 million electricity customers across the region. Houston is setting its sights on becoming one of the most resilient coastal grids in the country. At FNN, we are proud to support this mission by delivering the nation’s most reliable lightning and wildfire solutions. #FNN #EnergyResilience #GridInnovation #Utilities #Houston

“Last year, approximately 8,294 wildfires across the U.S. were caused by lightning.” As we move closer to lightning season, FNN was interviewed by emerging-tech reporter Kaitlyn Levinson, at Route Fifty to discuss the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District’s use of our High-Risk Lightning™ (HRL)™ sensors in the area. With the assistance of FNN™’s proprietary HRL™ data, the fire district is able to manage dangerous events like the ‘Line Fire’, a large scale wildfire ignited in Highland — about 70 miles east of Los Angeles, CA. Co-founder & CCO, Caroline Comeau, MBA explains that FNN™’s technology was able to give fire officials an early warning to the extreme weather event that created the wildfire. As the article highlights, emergency responders sometimes risk losing life-saving minutes due to limited equipment and inefficient resources. However, as SBCoFPD Public Info Officer, Ryan Beckers, put it— data (like that observed through the FNN Wildfire Hub™) has the capability to show that a recent strike was mild enough to skip deploying already limited resources and personnel to the site, helping prioritize those assets for more severe conditions. Especially, during Atmospheric Catastrophic Events™, technology like this remains essential for wildfire risk management and strategic resource deployment. Just in time for lightning season ⚡ FNN™ Co-founder & COO, Tamas Kereszy, MSc. and Wildfire Behavior Analyst, John Kern recently met with the SOUTH CAROLINA FORESTRY COMMISSION & Alabama Forestry Commission to continue our HRL detectors’™ expansion in the southeastern United States. These expansions allow us to install detectors in 10 additional locations, empowering customers in the southeastern US with our lightning and wildfire products - all before lightning season in the Southern US. For those of us in central and southern Florida, lightning season extends from April to late September. FNN™ detected over 430 lightning-ignited fires in the 2025 lightning season alone. In regions which routinely experience extreme weather events, early detection is key, and we couldn’t be prouder to help reduce the likelihood of dangerous wildfire incidents. Big thanks to Ethan Barrett, Darryl Jones, and their esteemed teams for their collaboration and partnership. #FNN #AI #HRL #Wildfire #Forestry

At the Esri Partner Conference in Palm Springs, FNN™’s wildfire hazard model, powered by data from our High-Risk-Lightning™ (HRL™) detectors deployed with San Bernardino County, was featured as part of the presentation: “Planning for & Responding to Disasters.” This is possible because of the FNN Wildfire Hub™, which integrates lightning intelligence, wildfire analytics, and predictive modeling to identify high-risk areas and provide advanced situational awareness as High-Risk-Lightning™ storms move through a region. As always, we would like to thank Esri for their continued partnership and the San Bernardino County Fire Protection District for their commitment to helping protect lives, property, and communities alongside FNN™. #EsriPC #GIS #FNN #Wildfirehub #Riskmodeling #AI
