Transforming the way goods move

About us

Zipline was founded to create the first logistics system that serves all humans equally. Our aim is to solve the world’s most urgent and complex access challenges. Leveraging expertise in robotics and autonomy, Zipline designs, manufactures and operates the world’s largest automated delivery system. Zipline serves tens of millions of people around the world and is making good on the promise of building an equitable and more resilient global supply chain. From powering Rwanda’s national blood delivery network and Ghana’s COVID-19 vaccine distribution, to providing on-demand home delivery for Walmart and enabling leading healthcare providers to bring care into the home in the United States, Zipline is transforming the way goods move. By transitioning to clean, electric, instant logistics, we can decarbonize delivery, decrease road congestion, and reduce fossil fuel consumption and air pollution, while providing equitable access for billions of people. The technology is complex but the idea is simple: a teleportation service that delivers what you need, when you need it. Zipline is inspiring people, governments, and businesses to imagine what is possible when goods can move as seamlessly as information. Homa Bay County has made a complete turnaround—from not procuring essential health commodities due to unreliable logistics, to actively investing again. Why? Because they trust Zipline. Our partnership began with rethinking HIV prevention and treatment for young people outside traditional settings. Together with the Elton John AIDS Foundation, we pioneered a community-based HIV services model that reached ~34,000 young people with health education and connected ~16,000 to counseling and testing. The insight was clear: bringing healthcare closer to people boosts access, increases healthy behaviors, and improves lives. Building on this success, now we’re  storing and delivering vaccines, blood products, anti-venom, insulin, maternal health drugs and other commodities for Homa Bay County—transforming health access for residents, reducing wastage, and restoring trust. 🚨 Hot off the press from Rwanda! 🚨 Nearly a year ago, we teamed up with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the UPS Foundation, and the Government of Rwanda to deliver vaccines more equitably and affordably to rural health posts. Now, the early results are in: 📊 Data from 67 facilities serving ~427,000 people shows that thanks to this new model, 7,200 kids are being vaccinated every month at these sites. 💥 And most astoundingly — missed vaccination opportunities dropped by 88%! That means far fewer children turned away, referred, or rescheduled because vaccines weren’t available. This Immunization Week, we celebrate what the data can't deny: #Immunization for All is Humanly Possible. 🌍💉

Proud to team up with The Pfizer Foundation to help close the vaccine equity gap. Through our partnership, Zipline has delivered millions of vaccines—and in 2024 alone, helped vaccinate an estimated 500,000+ children in Nigeria. This is how we make #ImmunizationForAll possible. 🌍💉

The power of vaccines goes far beyond helping to prevent disease—it can help unlock the potential for a healthier future. Yet today, an estimated 14.5 million children around the world have not received even a single vaccine. The majority of these ‘zero-dose’ children live in medically underserved, lower-income communities and are disproportionately impacted by barriers that limit or prevent access to routine health services.   At The Pfizer Foundation, which I’m proud to sit on the Board of, we’re collaborating with global health organisations to help close this health equity gap. With support from The Pfizer Foundation, these inspiring leaders are building sustainable, locally led solutions to increase access to potentially lifesaving vaccines:   International Rescue Committee is working to expand immunisation access for zero-dose and under-vaccinated children in the hard-to-reach Tigray Region in Ethiopia.   Zipline is using an autonomous drone delivery system that’s already delivered millions of vaccines and crucial health products to communities in Nigeria, which has the highest number of zero-dose children in Africa.    World Vision is designing evidence-based programs to increase vaccine coverage and help reduce child mortality in Cameroon, where each year, approximately 130,000-150,000 children go unvaccinated.   #WorldImmunizationWeek is a time to celebrate and recognise the remarkable efforts of organisations like these which are helping ensure ‘Immunisation for All is Humanly Possible.’ Learn more about The Pfizer Foundation and our partners: https://lnkd.in/eZHHhc3U    #GlobalHealth #HealthEquity

In parts of Rwanda, malaria cases have surged 50% in just one year, and climate change is exacerbating this, contributing to longer mosquito seasons and harder-to-predict outbreaks. An initiative by the Rwanda Biomedical Centre to centralize malaria meds and deliver them on-demand with Zipline is changing this story. 🌍 This #WorldMalariaDay, we’re showing how proven technology and country leadership come together to build climate-resilient health systems––saving lives, reducing costs and waste, and making every dollar go further. 👉 Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/dYMnKbN2

🚨 We’re featured in the Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria’s latest innovation report, spotlighting bold approaches to ending epidemics. 📍Find us on page 12 — which highlights that our community-based HIV model with Elton John AIDS Foundation in Kenya reaches 27x more high-risk youth than traditional approaches. This Earth Day, we’re connecting the dots between climate and health. Most people don’t realize climate change is making diseases like malaria worse. Warmer temps. More rain. That’s all it takes for mosquitoes to spread farther, stick around longer, and put more people at risk—especially in places where health care is already hard to reach. That’s where Zipline comes in. We deliver malaria meds and vaccines by electric drone in minutes—with 97% fewer emissions. So we’re not just helping governments respond to climate-fueled health threats—we’re actively cutting the emissions driving climate change in the first place.

In just a few years, Zipline's delivered over 22 million vaccine doses—faster, safer, and more reliably. Why does this matter? Because one of the main reasons children miss getting vaccinated isn’t hesitation—it’s simply not having access. Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance prioritizes making supply available exactly when it's needed to move the needle on childhood immunization. This is why we're 100% behind Gavi’s 2026-2030 replenishment vision: 📍 500 million kids reached 💉 8–9 million lives saved 💰 $100 billion in economic impact 🌍 All in just five years.
