Part 108 is coming. For organizations operating drones at scale, this isn’t just a regulatory update. It’s a shift in how programs are built, managed, and held accountable. Staying ahead means investing in: • Standards-based training • Scalable operational systems • A workforce prepared for increased responsibility USI helps organizations build safer, smarter, and scalable UAS programs designed for what’s next. #part108 #uas #aviationstandards #droneoperations #workforcedevelopment

“Part 107 prep is not enough for real-world operations.” That’s what Jeff Clack with Best Way AG discovered when looking for drone training and why he chose USI. In this clip, Jeff shares how USI training goes beyond the basics and prepares operators for what actually matters in the field: 🔷 Crew resource management 🔷 Safety protocols used daily 🔷 Reporting and operational discipline 🔷 Real-world decision making “What I learned from USI, I use every single day.” For organizations operating at a higher level, training isn’t just about passing a test. It’s about building a professional standard. #dronesafety #uas #droneindustry

Drone programs don’t scale because of technology alone. They scale when people, operations, and systems are aligned. USI helps organizations build that alignment through training, professional development, and certification pathways designed for real-world operations. The result? Teams that are confident, capable, and prepared for the complexity of modern drone operations. #uas #aviationstandards #droneoperations #workforcedevelopment #dronesafety

We’re incredibly proud to highlight one of our own at USI 👏 Stephanie Holland recently selected for the Women in Aviation International × Harvard Women in Leadership Program for Emerging Leaders and was honored this week at the WAI scholarship celebration. Being chosen as one of 90 women from 28 countries is an incredible achievement and a reflection of her leadership, dedication, and impact within the aviation industry. At USI, we’re lucky to have teammates like Stephanie who not only excel in their work but also represent the future of aviation leadership. We’re especially proud to see her giving back through initiatives like Girls in Aviation Day and helping inspire the next generation. Your hard work does not go unnoticed and we’re excited to support you every step of the way. ✈️
What a week… what a day! 😆 At the start of the month, I learned I was selected for the 2026 WAI × Harvard Women in Leadership Program for Emerging Leaders. Today, I was honored to participate in the scholarship celebration ceremony at #WAI2026! This year, 90 women from 28 countries were awarded Harvard scholarships, and I’m incredibly grateful to be part of such a diverse and inspiring global group. The program, created through a partnership between Women in Aviation International and Harvard University - is dedicated to developing and elevating women leaders across the aviation industry. One of the most meaningful parts of this experience has been connecting in person with so many incredible women from our cohort - we’ve already started a whatsapp chat! The sense of community, purpose, and shared ambition is something truly special, and I’m proud to be part of the Class of 2026. I also can’t wait to volunteer for Girls in Aviation Day tomorrow - the perfect opportunity to give back and help inspire the next generation of women in aviation. 💪 Feeling very grateful for the work I get to do every day and for my amazing coworkers and teammates at USI! And last but not least - since apparently I’m giving an award acceptance speech here lol - HUGE shoutout to my husband James for keeping things back home running smoothly while I’m away (with our three kiddos who have baseball, ballet, spring break, and sickness 😬), but even moreso for the encouragement, patience and support you show me every day. I couldn’t have earned this opportunity without you! 🫶 #WomenInAviation #IamWAI

If technology increases risk, it’s being used the wrong way. In Episode 17 of the USI podcast, we discuss one of the most important principles in aviation and drone operations: technology exists to protect people, not replace sound judgment. As we discuss in this clip, every tool should reduce effort and increase safety. If drone operations put people into greater danger, they defeat their purpose. This conversation explores how safety culture, operational discipline, and thoughtful implementation shape the future of drone operations. Watch the episode and read the upcoming blog recap to learn more. #uas #aviationsafety #droneindustry #aviationstandards #dronesafety

As drone operations scale, standards are becoming the foundation of professional UAS programs. USI’s UAS Standards White Paper breaks down why accredited standards are critical for organizations looking to scale safely, demonstrate operational credibility, and position themselves for long-term growth. As Chris Carta, Project Manager for UAS Services at TerraMark Geospatial, shared: “USI’s white paper is concise, accurate and extremely valuable to UAS organizations wanting to position themselves for growth and successful outcomes.” If you're building or expanding a drone program, understanding how standards impact safety, operations, and ROI is essential. #uas #droneindustry #aviationstandards #aviationsafety #uasoperations #dronetechnology
