Hunger is a critical issue in communities across our country. In fact, 1 in 5 children is food insecure and does not know where their next meal is coming from. That’s why Feed the Children is on a mission to ensure no child goes to bed hungry. We’re teaming up with the Popeyes Foundation for another SERVING WITH LOVE® Tour, providing families with the food and essential to help kids grow and thrive. The Tour is a 15 city coast-to-coast initiative that will support 250,000 meals for 12,000+ families with an approximate value of $3.5 million in food and essentials. Every community that’s part of the tour will also receive a second truckload of resources within 100 days to help fight #SummerHunger. Yesterday was the first stop in Seattle, and we’re off to a great start! Thank you so much to the Popeyes Foundation and all the volunteers who made this day possible.

For Damaris, having water once meant losing eight hours a day. Damaris lives in a rural village in Kenya. Every morning, she would leave her home and embark on a long walk to collect water from a seasonal river. It was time taken away from her children, farming, and income-generating work. During prolonged drought, that burden grew heavier. Change began when Damaris’ community partnered with Feed the Children to support the installation of a solar-powered borehole built for the demanding climate. Today, it provides more than 3,000 liters of clean water every hour to nearly 300 households, around 2,500 people, reaching homes, livestock, farms, and the local school. The addition of a communal farm, also supported by Feed the Children, means that the village now has a supply of fresh vegetables, which can be eaten or sold in neighboring towns for additional income. World Water Day 2026 calls for a rights-based approach where women have equal voice, leadership, and opportunity in water decision-making. In this community in Kenya, women are no longer simply carrying water. They are shaping how water supports their households, livelihoods, and children’s health. This is what an integrated, community-led water solution can look like – and we’re grateful to all of you for your support! #WorldWaterDay #WorldWaterDay2026 #FeedTheChildren #Water #GenderEquality #Kenya #SDG6 #SDG5 Jacktone Otieno Rhoda Njue Enrico Memusi @BrianAsande

Most mornings, mother of four Catherine woke up asking one question: would there be enough food for her children? In northern Malawi, 31-year-old Catherine spent the hours before sunrise doing mental math, deciding which needs to meet and which to postpone. Opportunities for work were scarce in her community, but she scraped together what she could – a challenge made more difficult by the poor health of her youngest daughter. The only healthcare clinic was miles away, and Catherine had no transportation besides walking. The time and expenses of the repeated journey took their toll on Catherine’s limited budget. When Feed the Children arrived in Catherine’s village, she immediately joined the community-led initiatives: a Village Savings and Loans Association, Care Groups, and a Community-Based Childcare Center (CBCC). Step by step, Catherine began to build: She began saving. Bought a small piece of land. Grew a goat herd from two to ten. Improved meals and hygiene at home. And she watched her youngest daughter grow stronger, thanks to the fortified porridge she ate daily, for free, at the CBCC. Today, Catherine’s household is steadier. Her story reflects what can happen when communities lead, and NGOs walk alongside them with consistency and care. On World NGO Day, we celebrate the resilience of families like Catherine’s and recognize the vital role community-led solutions have in creating lasting change, inspiring hope and progress for generations to come. 🔗 FULL STORY: https://bit.ly/4uezzJo #WorldNGODay #NGODay #FeedTheChildren #EndChildhoodHunger #CommunityDevelopment #Malawi McHenry Makwelero Tamara Mutyavaviri Rominie M. Today, we’re proud to join Starbucks in celebrating 10 years of Starbucks FoodShare – a partner (employee)-led program that moves nourishing, ready-to-eat food from Starbucks coffeehouses into communities facing hunger. Since 2014, Starbucks and Feed the Children have worked together to ensure more families have access to the food and essentials they need to thrive. In our fiscal year 2025 alone, Starbucks provided funding to help us invest in transportation, new forklifts, and pallet jacks for our distribution centers in Oklahoma and Pennsylvania. We’re grateful for over a decade of partnership and shared purpose with Starbucks, as we work to fulfill our vision of a world where no child goes to bed hungry.

Nearly 50,000 people reached following devastating floods in Malawi 🇲🇼 In January, severe flooding in Malawi’s Nkhotakota District displaced thousands of families, damaged critical infrastructure, and disrupted essential services, including 148 of the 205 Community-Based Childcare Centers supported by Feed the Children, as well as 54 children’s corners. Together with the Department of Nutrition, HIV and AIDS within the Ministry of Health and Sanitation, Nu Skin and Procter & Gamble, Feed the Children Malawi has delivered emergency support to approximately 50,000 people, including 7,195 children under the age of five. This coordinated response includes: - Delivery of 37,170 kg (18,585 packets) of VitaMeal, a fortified porridge produced in Malawi, provided through Feed the Children’s longstanding partnership with Nu Skin, to sustain young children’s nutrition in displacement camps. - Distribution of 136 cartons (32,640 sachets) of Procter & Gamble water purification sachets to help flood-affected families access clean drinking water and reduce the spread of waterborne diseases. - Hygiene promotion and handwashing demonstrations. - Support to on-the-ground disaster response teams working alongside local authorities to ensure relief reaches the households most in need. “As a child-centered organization, we are committed to safeguarding vulnerable communities during this critical time. Our priority is to protect the health and dignity of Malawi’s most vulnerable children and families during this crisis, and beyond,” says McHenry Makwelero, Country Director, Feed the Children Malawi. Today, we celebrate International Day of Education! This day highlights the power of education and emphasizes the necessity for inclusive, equitable, quality education and lifelong learning opportunities for everyone. Yet millions of children continue to face barriers that prevent them from learning. Hunger remains one of the most significant—but solvable—education barriers. “We can’t talk about a child’s learning journey without addressing hunger,” said Bre Jefferson, president of international programming and operations. “When families have greater food stability, children are better able to stay in school, focus on learning, and build a stronger future. That connection is at the heart of Feed the Children’s work on International Day of Education and every day.” Read the full press release here: https://bit.ly/4rf0TF8
