AI tools are no longer fringe tools in schools. They are already part of the daily learning environment. And students are not using just one. They are building their own little unofficial stacks. One tool to brainstorm, another to rewrite, another to summarize, another to help with code, and another to generate images. That is what makes student AI use tricky to navigate. The same technology can help a student build an app they never thought possible, and help another hand in a polished essay they barely understand. It can build confidence and creativity, or quietly erode the learning process if it starts doing too much of the work. In our latest article, we unpack the AI tools students are using in 2026, what they are using them for, and how schools can build AI literacy while keeping critical thinking, judgment, and real understanding at the centre of the learning process. https://lnkd.in/gtTJfCti #AIInEducation #AILiteracy #SchoolIT #DigitalSafeguarding #OnlineSafety #GenerativeAI #EdTech #K12

Generative AI tools are appearing across school networks faster than many schools realise. Students are experimenting with AI chatbots, image generators and writing assistants, often without clear oversight. So, what does this mean for safeguarding? Our latest article explores how UK schools can understand AI usage, manage emerging risks and meet KCSIE monitoring expectations. The future of #edtech in Australian schools isn’t about the next shiny platform. It’s about operational change. We’re seeing AI embedded into lesson planning and feedback workflows, hybrid learning models being refined rather than reinvented, and privacy and ethical AI moving from policy footnotes to procurement gatekeepers. The real question for school leaders isn’t “What should we buy next?” It’s “Are the tools we already use improving outcomes, reducing workload, and standing up to governance scrutiny?” In 2026, edtech success will be defined less by innovation and more by integration. We’ve pulled together a practical guide for Australian school leaders covering AI, analytics, privacy, equity, and procurement. No hype. Just what’s changing and what to do about it. https://lnkd.in/gwzUVJcK

Safer Internet Day 2026 is about Smart tech. Safe choices. Many schools now have online safety alerts in place. Fewer have a clear, shared process for what happens after an alert is raised. We’ve published a practical guide looking at how schools can move from alerts to action, with clear triage, ownership, and proportionate responses that support student wellbeing. Read the article and download the playbook: 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gzWhxBtN #SaferInternetDay #SID2026 #OnlineSafety #DigitalWellbeing #EdTech

Back from summer, and the school year finds its rhythm again. The first weeks of Term 1 are when online behaviour starts to settle into patterns that often last the year. Early visibility into school network activity helps schools understand those patterns, from how social activity shifts during class time to where bullying and risk can surface in less obvious places. It’s not about surveillance. It’s about starting the right conversations early, before issues escalate. #Australianschools #SchoolIT #DigitalWellbeing #OnlineSafety #StudentWellbeing

We’re pleased to be sponsoring the MENA Inclusion and Wellbeing Summit, presented by Optimus Education in Dubai next week. Inclusion and well-being are not abstract ideals. In schools, they show up in everyday systems, policies, and the digital environments students navigate daily. We work with schools across the Middle East to give leadership teams clearer visibility into online risk, student wellbeing indicators, and safeguarding trends, using the infrastructure they already trust. A big thank you to our local partner Cubit Technologies for their support, and to Blessen Elias for helping make this collaboration possible. If you’re attending the summit on 4–5 February 2026, we look forward to connecting with educators and school leaders who are focused on practical, culturally appropriate approaches to student wellbeing. #oeMENA #StudentWellbeing #InclusionInEducation #DigitalSafeguarding #EdTech #MENA #fastvue
