Closing out Women’s History Month (#WHM) at Fastly, we’re reflecting on what it truly means to be Rooted & Rising. Led by our WAGE (Women and Gender Equality) Employee Resource Group, this month brought our global community together in meaningful and joyful ways. Through celebrations across regions like yoga sessions, happy hours, sauna sessions, and even a bread baking class, we created space to connect, recharge, support local women-owned businesses, and be in community with one another. We also leaned into conversations that matter. Through open dialogue around women’s health and menopause, we continued to normalize experiences that have too often gone unspoken in the workplace, creating space for learning, support, and shared stories. To be rooted is to honor lived experiences, care for ourselves and each other, and stay grounded in community. To be rising is to keep building spaces where women feel seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. 💜

What started on a couch in an apartment, a disused concert hall in a Sailor's Union and a tiny office above a pizza shop during one of the hottest summers in San Francisco memory was driven by one simple idea: there had to be a better way to build for the internet.
