On Memorial Day, Sgt. Bobby Limerick's name was on our #17 car for the Coca-Cola 600. In the Vietnam War, he made the ultimate sacrifice. Bobby's nephew, Ryan Upshaw, is an army vet himself and a leader at Fastenal. Here's what Ryan and his family experienced this past weekend.

Not everyone knows that we have our own fleet of semis. But apparently the Next Generation in Trucking Association knows about us, because Fastenal is a 2026 Career Catalyst Award recipient. Each year, they use the award to highlight companies that invest in the future workforce through training and mentorship that creates real career pathways. For us, we partner with schools and help introduce students to transportation and supply chain careers through hands-on experiences, tours, and workshops. The next generation of trucking and supply chain leaders is already here. It's our job to give them the best guidance we can.

Memorial Day is a time to pause and remember the cost of freedom. While many see it as a long weekend, its true purpose is remembrance. It's a chance to honor those who gave their lives in service to our nation and keeping their sacrifice alive. In that spirit, we were proud to honor Bobby Limerick, who made the ultimate sacrifice during the Vietnam War. His name rode on our #17 car at Sunday's race. This tribute is personal for our Fastenal family. Bobby's nephew, Ryan Upshaw, is an army vet himself. And Ryan is both a leader within our company and a powerful example of what service can become after military life. Today, we honor their family, remember the fallen, and are grateful for the freedom we enjoy.

"Setting max and mins allows us to never run out of the products that we need, that are critical to our campus usage." For the University of South Carolina, adding technology to their inventory management was a game changer.

People love a paint-by-numbers project because it's clear what goes where, and it looks good when it's done. Ready for a ridiculous statement? Inventory management can give you that same feeling if you know how to do it. The Blue Print magazine did it's own paint-by-number, but they only used one color. Their point was simple enough. If you use technology, you can do a lot with a very small footprint. Putting inventory vending, lockers, and other devices near workers can lead to all sorts of improvements. 🔵 Prevent stockouts 🔵 Improve visibility 🔵 Reduce consumption by 20-30% It really is possible to tackle inventory with this approach ... and a little bit of blue.

Compliance alone doesn’t guarantee safety. When protective clothing isn’t aligned with real tasks, real environments, and real people, it can actually increase risk. Kyle, our safety solutions sales manager, shares what that looks like in practice in this feature from Safety+Health Magazine. https://lnkd.in/gm8hcCpK
