RSAC made it undeniable: detection is necessary, but prevention is where the fight is moving. Security teams are drowning in alerts while AI is creating new, fast-moving human risk vectors faster than most programs can respond. The gap between what attackers can do and what traditional training addresses has never been wider. What we heard repeatedly from CISOs: - Legacy training produces completion rates, not behavior change - Role-based targeting is too blunt; attackers don't phish by org chart - Punitive programs are backfiring—employees are hiding incidents, not reporting them - Speed matters: by the time a quarterly module rolls out, the threat has moved on The programs getting traction share a different DNA: - Behavior-based targeting built on real signals, not job titles - Real-time intervention—in the moment of risk, not 30 days later - Non-punitive by design, because fear doesn't scale This is what we built Fable around. Not because it's a better mousetrap—because the old model is structurally broken and patching it isn't enough. If any of this resonated with what you saw at RSAC, we'd love to compare notes. What was the conversation that stuck with you most? AI is changing how people work and how risk shows up. At Fable, we believe that people can be your organization’s strongest defense—if you have the right security habits. Kyle Wolff and Noah Plotkin will be at the IANS Washington DC Forum next week on April 7 to discuss how applying adtech principles can make security training more effective and drive real behavior change. If you’re there and want to learn more about modern human risk management, let’s connect. #IANSEvents #InfoSec #CyberSecurity #CISO

Fable Security reposted this
We hosted a CISO lunch at RSA on Tuesday. The room filled up faster than we expected. One topic took over and didn't let go: AI adoption. The energy wasn't fear. It was the energy of people who've tasted it. If you've actually used AI in your own workflow—not played with it, used it—you know the feeling. Entire categories of work just... gone. But there was a tension underneath all of it. Adopt first. Understand the risk second. That's the sequence happening inside almost every org right now. Because the speed of adoption isn't waiting for anyone. Professor Victor Bennett—former White House economist—was at the table. His research is on incentive structures and risk behavior. The insight that stuck: people don't do the right thing because you tell them to. They do it when the incentives are aligned. Security teams who make safe behavior the path of least resistance become the enablers the business actually wants. The best programs right now aren't slowing anyone down. They're teaching people how to drive. Are you navigating this at your org? Curious how you're thinking about it. #RSAC #RSAC2026 #HumanRiskManagement #GenerativeAI #SecurityLeadership

Telling employees to “follow policy” isn’t enough. Real behavior change happens when training includes direct links to software portals, reporting forms, and internal resources—making the secure action the easiest action. #SecurityTraining #HumanRisk #CyberSecurity

We’re excited to welcome some new Fablers to the team: Dylan Jensen, Kyle Wolff, Michael Mooney, Sophie Paterson, Will Vallette, and Xavier Marcos! Dylan joins the sales engineering team, bringing a strong background in cybersecurity and presales, with experience at Torq and Cyware, and a passion for helping organizations turn security strategy into real-world outcomes. Outside of work, Dylan enjoys coaching football and spending time with his family. Kyle joins Fable’s sales team to help shape our sales playbook, bringing experience from Astronomer, Okta, and Bloomberg Industry Group. When he’s not working, he’s likely golfing, surfing, or skiing. Mike joins Fable’s sales team with experience from Astronomer, MongoDB, and Red Hat. Off the clock, he’s hiking, exploring new restaurants, reading, or practicing jiu jitsu. Sophie is our new People Operations Manager, bringing experience from Sprig and Abnormal Security. Outside of work, she loves finding a good thriller or mystery novel to read or a new destination to travel to. Will also joins Fable’s sales team with a background at Astronomer, Clumio, and Lacework. In his spare time, he’s cheering on Boston sports teams, cooking, or spending time with his family and dogs. Xavi joins us from Astronomer, where he was one of the company's earliest sales hires and built the Southeast into the top-producing region in the country. At Fable, he'll be leading the charge to build out our East Coast sales team. He also brings experience from Templafy. When he's not closing deals, you'll find him with his family or cheering on the Mets and Dolphins. We’re moving fast, and we’d love for you to join us! Check out some of our open positions in the link below. #Cybersecurity #GenerativeAI #Hiring

Legacy security awareness training has long been about going through the motions. Completion rates measure who clicked. They don’t measure who changed. That’s not risk reduction. That’s theater. The good news is that the era of box-checking is over. Join Fable Security at RSAC booth #S-0263 for a delightful exchange. Exchange box checking compliance theater for human risk management that actually works. DM us to connect and experience the human way to manage risk. We also have a small number of discounted Conference passes and free Expo passes available. DM us if you’re interested. #RSAC #RSAC2026 #RSAConference #Cybersecurity #SecurityAwareness #HumanRisk

The threat landscape is changing fast with new technologies like generative AI, and the lines between safe and risky behavior are only getting blurrier. That's where we're focused at Fable: helping teams adopt and use technology safely, and deliver targeted, timely interventions that lead to real, measurable behavior change. We're expanding across East, West, and Central to help us address the biggest unsolved problem in cybersecurity: the human attack surface. Interested in learning how you can help make a difference in the world of human risk? We're hiring across engineering and sales—take a look at our open positions: https://lnkd.in/gWyghbsQ
Just wrapped our first team QBR 6 weeks after joining Fable Security and I have one word: MOMENTUM! 7 months out of stealth. 30 enterprise customers. Closed almost $1M last month of the quarter alone. Here's what's driving it ....security teams are facing a new reality. Their people are adopting AI at breakneck speed, the threat landscape is evolving just as fast, and legacy tools weren't built for either problem. When you can help organizations enable their workforce to embrace emerging technology safely AND reduce the human attack surface at the same time …people pay attention. Last quarter we welcomed Cargill, Workday, Intercontinental Exchange, Arch Capital, Affirm, Amwins, and more into the Fable family. These are complex, global enterprises trusting us to secure the human layer and that trust is something we never take lightly. But what energizes me most isn't the numbers. It's the team. Our founding group built the engine. Now we're adding reinforcements across the East, West, and Central regions. Operators and builders who see what we see: the biggest unsolved problem in cybersecurity is the human one. We're just getting started. If you're a builder who wants to be part of something special at the ground floor let's talk. 🟣 We're hiring across sales, engineering, and customer success. #Cybersecurity #HumanRiskManagement #StartupLife #Hiring #AI #FableSecurity Nicole Jiang-GibsonSanny LiaoXavier MarcosMichael MooneyWill ValletteKyle WolffPreston VaughnDevon GradfordBenjamin OlsonHaley SayresJordan Ostroff

When a major cyberattack hits the headlines, organizations often want immediate training. But the real question is whether your training defends against one incident—or the tactics behind it. The strongest programs use headline attacks to build habits that stop future threats.
