What a day out with the India team! From balancing paper cups on our heads in a team relay to water slides we couldn't get enough of, Team Esper 🇮🇳 took a well-deserved break to unwind, laugh, and just be together outside the usual work rhythm. Thank you to everyone who joined and made it such a memorable day. Moments like these highlight what makes our India hub so special, proving that while our scope is global, our strength is deeply local. #TeamEsper #WorkCulture #EsperIndia

🧠 What is device downtime actually costing your business? Most operators don't know — until it's too late. POS terminals, kiosks, handhelds, and digital signage are the backbone of daily operations. When they go dark, the impact goes far beyond an IT ticket — it hits revenue, customer experience, and your team's ability to operate at full capacity. Esper partnered with Touch Dynamic to break it all down in our eBook: 📖 The Cost of Downtime: Why Device Management Solutions Are Critical Inside you'll find: 🔹 The hidden costs of device downtime most businesses overlook 🔹 Common pitfalls of legacy device management 🔹 Modern strategies for monitoring, deploying, and maintaining devices at scale 🔹 Hardware considerations for reliable, scalable operations If your fleet is mission-critical, give this a read 👉 https://lnkd.in/grdwntTA #DeviceManagement #MDM #Downtime #RetailTech #QSR #Esper #TouchDynamic

Great perspective from our partners at Direct Source. 👇 When a technology provider changes direction, it's easy to feel the pressure to react. But the smarter move? Stay ahead of it. Keep evaluating your strategy before change forces your hand — and make sure the technology underneath your operation is built to keep working no matter what changes around it. That's exactly why device management infrastructure matters. With Esper, retailers and QSR operators can manage their entire device fleet — any hardware, any OS, any location — so tomorrow morning, the doors open and everything just works. Give it a read. 👉 https://lnkd.in/gbkfFtK5 #RetailTechnology #RetailOperations #DeviceManagement #MDM #RetailTech #Esper

Retail technology has a way of disappearing into the background when everything is working as it should. Then something changes. A provider restructures. A roadmap shifts. A new capability emerges. Suddenly, the technology that rarely demanded much thought deserves a closer look. Not because change means starting over. It means asking whether the technology strategy that got you here is still capable of getting you where you're going. Sometimes that means staying the course. Sometimes it means exploring complementary technologies, including mobile device management platforms like Esper, to better align the existing environment with long-term goals. Because tomorrow, the doors still have to open. And the best technology strategies are built to keep working, even as the landscape around them changes. Read our perspective on evaluating today's technology investments while building for what's next: https://lnkd.in/gpApqmbM. #RetailTechnology #RetailOperations #TechnologyStrategy #QSR #MDM

Say a retailer running 10,000 Zebra handhelds across 500 stores pushes a policy update and the console reports 9,400 devices "applied." What happened to the other 600?  The straggler handhelds won’t throw an alert. They’ll just sit there unconfirmed and silently out of policy — at least until a scan fails at checkout or a pick line stalls out.  Most MDM consoles stop at "acknowledged", but true verification means checking the endpoint directly. The tricky thing is that no single method covers every config type on a heterogenous fleet:  > On-device UI inspection: Most authoritative, impossible to scale > ADB/OS queries: Solid for native Android properties, blind to OEM extensions like DataWedge, StageNow flags, or OEMConfig payloads. > OEM feedback & logs: Reflect execution intent, not than current state. Our recommendation: Stratified sampling. Try running ADB or on-device checks against a controlled slice (same hardware, OS version, network conditions) and compare against server readouts. A 50-device sample from one homogeneous tier tells you much more than 10,000 unverified "applied" statuses. How are you validating console "applied" metrics across your rugged and scanner fleet?

🌴 We're back from our first Prosper Forum and already excited to go back next year! Our team spent four days at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando surrounded by the foodservice and hospitality leaders shaping what comes next. When Prosper Forum brings together people who are genuinely passionate about what they do, every conversation goes deeper than surface level — we left recharged, inspired, and full of ideas. A highlight was dinner with MicroTouch, Adyen, and Legrand — great food, great people, and a karaoke session we'll leave undocumented. 🎤😄 To the Prosper Company team — thank you for creating such a standout event. See you next year! #ProsperForum #RestaurantTech #Hospitality #Esper #FoodService

📈 Our CEO Yadhu Gopalan sat down with Ubiquity Ventures's Sunil Nagaraj to break down the Waterfall Method — a framework they refined over years of board updates that keeps Esper's quarterly forecasts consistently within 10% of actual results. Learn from their expertise and check out the full video here 👉 https://lnkd.in/geZKn-xM #Leadership #StartupLife #BoardManagement #Esper #OperationalExcellence

At a recent Esper board meeting, Yadhu Gopalan pulled up a slide and called it “Sunil's favorite slide" :) It’s a waterfall update: a simple way to show the original board plan from January 1, the actual results as each quarter rolls by, and how the forecast has changed over time. Most startup board decks show plan versus actual. That’s useful, but it leaves out what management expected along the way. A waterfall PRESERVES those earlier forecasts, making it easier to see what changed, why it changed, and whether the company is getting better at forecasting. Yadhu uses the format across six key business metrics: ARR, net new ARR, revenue, new pipeline, opex, and cash balance. We turned his approach into a free and editable template founders can use for their own board updates. The article, template, and full Ubiquity University session are in the comments below. From Ubiquity Ventures.   #ubiquityventures #founders #deeptech #boardmanagement
