WOTC is still on a legislative hiatus, but here are three steps you can take this month to help ensure you receive the credit should Congress eventually reauthorizes: Audit 2025: 1. Work with your tax provider to help ensure no 2025 certifications were missed before filing. 2. Help Verify the 28-Day Workflow: Confirm that your 2026 new hires are still completing Form 8850 on or before the day a job offer is made. 3. Monitor the ""Improve and Enhance"" Act: Bipartisan legislation is currently on the floor that could not only renew the credit but potentially increase it from 40% to 50% for certain groups.
