Our team brought #StayInTheRace to The 500 this past weekend for the official premiere of our new film, created to deliver one critical message: when it comes to managing your heart, the right pit stop at the right moment can change everything. Alongside our partners Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Edwards Lifesciences’ Sarah Huoh moderated a panel with the film's stars and director to highlight the critical realities of heart valve failure (severe aortic stenosis). Beyond the premiere, we brought our message directly to fans with a dedicated heart health presence at the Fan Midway. By offering on-site education and heart screenings, we were able to provide attendees with actionable health resources and connect directly with our patients who visited to share their personal journeys. When Elizabeth began experiencing weakness and shortness of breath as a result of #AorticStenosis, she was told she may have only months to live. Access to advanced heart care can be limited in her community in Belize, so Elizabeth began preparing for the end of her life. Then, everything changed. With the support of a dedicated care team in Belize, Elizabeth received a heart valve replacement, made possible through collaboration with charitable partners in the Edwards Lifesciences Foundation’s Every Heartbeat Matters initiative. Today, she’s back to doing what she loves most: spending time with her six children and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. ❤️ Last year, Elizabeth joined us at The #PatientExperience as the first Every Heartbeat Matters patient to participate in the event. Together, we're empowering adults 65+ to be proactive about their heart health and get screened. At the heart of this partnership is a film featuring the personal experiences of RLL Racing co-owners David Letterman, Bobby Rahal, and Mike Lanigan. During our on-campus event, CVP Dan Lippis shared more about our mission, and employees heard from Dr. Columbus D Batiste and RLL Racing about why this collaboration has become such a meaningful experience.
