Learning environments look different when you experience them through another perspective. At EDspaces, architects, designers, dealers, planners, and education leaders come together to examine how space shapes learning, not in theory, but through real environments, real conversations, and shared ideas. That kind of cross-disciplinary exchange can shift how we think about: • How design decisions influence student engagement • How learning spaces support educators and institutions • How assumptions change when ideas are tested in context • How conversations at EDspaces continue into future projects Fresh perspective matters because better learning environments don’t come from one role or one solution. They’re shaped through collaboration, challenge, and practical insight. • The most effective learning environments are intentional. They’re shaped by research, refined through practice, and designed to support real learning outcomes. For the EDspaces 2026 Call for Learning Spaces, teams can choose from two design approaches, based on the vision, goals, and resources behind their concept. Option one: Fully Designed Learning Environment • Fully furnish and outfit the assigned meeting room. • Design for a capacity of 75 or 100 attendees. • Create a complete, immersive environment that brings a full learning space vision to life. Option two: 1,000 NSF Designed Learning Space • Design approximately 1,000 net square feet of the room. • Maximize seating and functionality within that footprint. • Present a concept grounded in realistic application and research-driven planning. Both options create space for strong ideas. The difference is how you choose to bring them forward. Submit a proposal that shows how thoughtful environments can improve the way learning happens. ➡️Explore the design options: https://hubs.ly/Q04hjh6K0 #EDspaces #LearningEnvironments #EducationDesign #LearningSpaceDesign

Intentional design shapes how students learn and educators thrive. The Design Besties, a nonprofit collective dedicated to supporting educators through the power of design, demonstrates this principle through their recent work in a Columbus Title I school lounge. Decisions throughout the project were grounded in research and practical feedback, highlighting the value of community-driven solutions for learning environments. See the full article below and explore how Design Besties’ approach creates meaningful impact for educators and students. #EDspaces #SchoolDesign #EducatorWellbeing

Thank you EDmarket and EDspaces for helping The Design Besties crossover into the education world. We spent the last year as a new 501(c)3 working hard on our visibility within the design industry. The support has been so overwhelming and one of our friends introduced us to Jolene Levin, a legend at EDmarket & EDspaces. Now, there's this unstoppable snowball effect and we're only in the beginning of this journey. Thank you Adrienne Dayton for this thoughtful article on us and this ever-important mission! We look forward to doing amazing things with all of you. #jointhemovement #theteachersloungemovement #teachersdeservebetter #teachersloungemakeover #thedesignbesties https://lnkd.in/emNiXifE

  • ☕ Monday Morning Coffee - Weekly Insights from EDspaces The most effective learning environments result from purposeful design. Renovating the music program at the Western Academy of Beijing offers a practical demonstration: by rethinking circulation, supervision, acoustics, and adaptability — not expanding floor area — the school enhanced both daily instruction and long-term success. Intentional space planning means every square foot supports flexibility, collaboration, and stronger experiences. Renovation is not just about updating rooms; it is a strategic investment in learning outcomes. For those shaping schools, what design move has made the biggest difference in your projects? ➡️Read the Full Article: https://lnkd.in/eC4gqW7f #MondayMorningCoffee #LearningEnvironments #SchoolDesign

  • EDspaces made one thing clear: the most effective learning environments are built through collaboration. This year’s conversations connected strategy, design, and real-world application in ways that felt practical, timely, and forward-moving. Across the show floor and sessions, the focus stayed on what matters most: • ideas grounded in research and real use • solutions that support better student and educator outcomes • design thinking that responds to real challenges • partnerships that help move projects from vision to implementation That’s the value of EDspaces. It brings together the people shaping learning environments, not just to spot trends, but to exchange insight, test ideas, and advance what works. ➡️Register Today: https://lnkd.in/eKhhAm_f #EDspaces #LearningEnvironments #EducationDesign
