I did it. 🎓 Cornell University Performance Leadership certificate - earned, one late night at a time. Honestly, the real story isn't the certificate. It's the process. Weeknight after weeknight, I'd sit down with the course material...not just reading, but working through it. Projects that asked me to look at how I actually lead. Exercises that made me examine my blind spots around credibility, decision-making, cross-cultural dynamics, and team health. It's one thing to nod along to a framework. It's another thing entirely when the exercise asks you to apply it to a real situation and you realize...oh, I could do this better. That happened more than once in this program. Leading collaborative teams. Leading across cultures. Making decisions under pressure. Building credibility. Navigating power relationships. These aren't abstract topics, but they're the texture of every single week at work. This program has given me a sharper vocabulary and, more importantly, better instincts for all of it (I hope...as I am pretty sure I'll discover as I start applying more of it) Proud of this one. Not because I finished, but because I genuinely learned. https://lnkd.in/gu6E47in #eCornell #PerformanceLeadership #Cornell #LeadershipDevelopment #GrowthMindset #AlwaysLearning

Rather than viewing these challenges as barriers, a new generation of founders is turning them into catalysts for innovation. From fintech platforms expanding financial inclusion and logistics ventures tackling last‑mile delivery to healthtech, edtech, agritech, and AI‑enabled innovations, emerging‑market startups are creating solutions that are locally grounded and increasingly relevant on the global stage.

  • Congratulations on earning your Business Contracts certificate 🎉 It’s inspiring to see professionals deepen their legal and contract management expertise to better navigate negotiation, risk management, and an evolving commercial landscape. Thank you for learning with us, and to Cornell Law School and Mark Underberg for helping bring these concepts to life. #eCornell #CornellLaw #BusinessContracts #ProfessionalDevelopment #ContractManagement

At the start of 2026, I made a conscious decision to invest in myself professionally. Sometimes the hardest part is simply deciding to begin. I’m delighted to share that I recently earned the Business Contracts credential from Cornell University Law School. Reflecting on the credential, it bridged a crucial gap between contract management and legal understanding. As a contract management leader in the public sector, I encounter contracts daily. However, having a solid grasp of applicable legal frameworks is essential. The intention to contract requires careful consideration and stakeholder input on the ‘why’ and ‘what ifs’ are also incredibly important. Risk management, negotiation and enforcing contract terms are increasingly relevant in today’s dynamic global commercial landscape. I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Nateram and Jeffrey Hahn for their generous time, feedback and encouragement. This support was invaluable as I balanced study with a full-time role. I entered the programme confident in my experience but left with greater knowledge, a distinction worth pursuing. If you’re in contracts or procurement and considering enhancing your legal literacy, I highly recommend taking the step. eCornell Cornell Law School

  • Rethinking the AGI Race: World Models, Myths, and Next Paths The market claims artificial general intelligence (AGI) is near, but the science disagrees. The real debate is no longer about speed alone but also whether better world models and alternative architectures could change the path entirely. For executives, that gap matters: It determines where capital flows, which infrastructure succeeds, and how leaders separate genuine capability from market theater. Join Cornell faculty Lutz Finger and Benjamin Goertzel, CEO of SingularityNet, for a grounded discussion on what AGI would actually require, why LLMs may automate large parts of the economy without becoming truly general, and why alternative paths remain important. The conversation will explore world models, symbolic reasoning, evolutionary learning, and the argument that today’s centralized AI race may reflect current algorithm choices more than any fixed law of progress.

  • Rights of Nature: A New Paradigm for Environmental Protection? Rights of Nature represents a groundbreaking shift in environmental protection — a legal framework that recognizes rivers, forests, and other natural entities as having inherent rights to exist, flourish, and remain clean. This transformative model emerged in the Global South, led by Ecuador, the first country to enshrine Rights of Nature in its constitution. It has since inspired movements and legal debates worldwide, redefining the relationship between people and the planet. Join us for a special Keynote in which lawyers, civil society activists, and academics discuss how Rights of Nature is being interpreted and applied in the courts of Ecuador and Colombia. They will also explore the challenges this paradigm faces and highlight the opportunities it creates for strengthening environmental protection and advancing sustainability.

🎓 Excited to share that I've just completed the Accounting credential from Cornell University through eCornell, which is another meaningful milestone in my professional journey here in the US! The program covered the full picture of financial accounting in the US. From financial reports to revenue recognition, inventory, and the principles behind measuring and reporting business performance. 💡 My highlight definitely was the last module, where we worked through a comprehensive company analysis. I had an "aha" moment where the flood of numbers on a company's Yahoo Finance page actually made sense to me. That really reinforced my interest in accounting and finance! 🙏 A big thank you to Upwardly Global for opening the door to this program and for the incredible work they do supporting immigrant and refugee professionals as we rebuild our careers in a new country. Finally, a special thank you to Grant Gigot, for supporting me on this journey and for the guidance, encouragement, and insight that has made such a difference already in my professional life. Looking forward to what's next! 🚀 #ProfessionalDevelopment #UpwardlyGlobal #FinancialAccounting #eCornell #LifelongLearning

AGI is coming soon. But what if the technology isn’t actually on the path people think it is? As the race toward artificial general intelligence accelerates, executives are being asked to separate real capability from market hype and understand how today’s AI architecture decisions could shape infrastructure, investment, and competitive advantage for years to come. Join Cornell SC Johnson College of Business Visiting Senior Lecturer Lutz Finger and SingularityNET CEO Ben Goertzel for a grounded discussion on world models, alternative AI architectures, and what leaders should actually be paying attention to in the evolving AGI landscape. 🕐 Thursday, May 28, 2026 | 1:00 PM EDT 🔗 Register here: https://lnkd.in/ebuHBzwE #eCornell #CornellUniversity #ArtificialIntelligence #AGI #Leadership
