Full-Stack AI Music & Video Production Studio

About us

The future is artificial. We are not afraid of it. In an industry currently flooded with sloppy AI generations, Dreadful Freaks stands among the rare few offering a full-stack AI music and video production pipeline that covers scriptwriting, narrative strategy , music scores, cinematic video, visual and sound effects. We are a collective of veteran Gen AI creators who have been living in the latent space, pushing the boundaries of this technology long before it became a household term. We are the early adopters who didn't just watch the revolution happen, we were a part of it, and built our workflows around it. By navigating the chaotic early days of generative models, we developed the proprietary techniques and deep technical intuition that allow us to control the uncontrollable. We don’t just generate clips; we build worlds with narrative consistency, character persistence, and creative intent.

La Veuve is a French Noir animated film made in the spirit of Melville and Chabrol. With it, I can now confirm this: I average $50–100 in compute per minute of AI video when using flagship models like Kling 3.0 and Seedance 2.0. That's 40–50x less than the $400,000 Higgsfield claims to have spent on their 95-minute film Hell Grind. A project of that length would cost me $4,750–$9,500 in compute. Double it with a generous margin of error — you're still under $25,000. So either Higgsfield is deliberately publishing those numbers to anchor a six-figure threshold in the minds of future platform users and creators — or the team behind that project has what I call a high failed-to-successful generation ratio. In other terms: they're not very good at what they do and are compensating their lack of skills with unlimited credits access. Don't let numbers intimidate you. It's possible to do more with less. There are two types of VFX you can do with AI. The first type, you upload image references, prompt the AI, and pray it creates something spectacular that's close to what you had in mind. The second type, which is the one I do, is a frame-by-frame approach, where you use keyframes and in-betweens to direct the AI into creating exactly what you had in mind. There's a reason you see far more of the former circulating in the space than the latter. Made with Kling AI

This is what a Pirate themed TV show opening credits looks like when it's built in my AI lab Dreadful Freaks. 20 hours of work. Less than $100 in credits. A concept developed with intention, consistent visuals, original typography, and a custom theme song composed for this world alone. The craft hasn't disappeared. It's just moved somewhere else. My first-ever AI cover song is on its way to streaming platforms, and most LinkedIners probably won't recognize the original. My work with Gen AI, whether it's writing, visuals, or music, has always been about versatility alongside technical mastery. So I really wanted to push myself somewhere different with this one, far from the kind of music I usually produce with Suno. Consider it a little taste test. Your music taste is absolutely goated if you can name the original song from these lyrics.

RINNE, my first Jazz album is now live on NAITMIX and major streaming platforms. In general I would not call myself a fan of Jazz music, unless it comes from some anime called Cowboy Bebop or Hellsing. However when I started writing the story for my yakuza manga RINNE https://lnkd.in/gsC7wx-6, I already knew what kind of music I would want as soundtrack if or when I adapt it to an anime or film someday. I even used one of the tracks in my video clip Wakagashira https://lnkd.in/gyhXCbuB and it suits the vibe well. Hate as much as you want on AI music, the fact remains, if you're a Western trained musician or composer, with zero exposure to Asian cultures, chances are very high you won't be able to compose something like that. I've said it before, the key to better AI animation is not longer videos, but more granular control between frames, by that I mean to be able to have 1-2 seconds only between frames. The thing is, most AI tools and platforms do not allow for that. Dreamina AI happens to be one of the rare few, and last week while I was busy vibe coding my fashion pipeline, I received the good news that I was accepted as one of their Creative Partners. Here's Goku throwing a kamehameha at all the non sense in the AI space to prove the point. This was made with 5 frames using Seedance 1.0 Mini. Yeah you read it right, this is not even Seedance 2.0.
