Months of brainstorming, researching, designing, building, writing, revising, and rehearsing all led to this. 🌍 This week at Global Finals 2026, we watched students from around the world take the stage to share engineering builds, scientific solutions, technical designs, original stories, improvisational storytelling, fine arts performances, and service-learning projects they created together throughout the Destination Imagination Challenge Experience. While we were blown away by the creativity on display, what stood out most was the confidence, teamwork, persistence, and pride behind every presentation. Throughout the week, we watched teams solve problems in real time, encourage one another under pressure, and keep moving forward even when things didn’t go according to plan. That’s the purpose of the Destination Imagination Challenge Experience. And in many ways, that’s the real prize. Thank you to all of our Global Finals teams for sharing your creativity and hard work with our global community this week, and to every Challenge Experience team this season that dedicated months of time, energy, and heart to creating something uniquely your own. It’s hard to believe we’re already heading into the final day of Global Finals 2026. Over the past few days, we’ve watched students from around the world present the Team Challenge solutions they’ve spent months bringing to life. Last night, we celebrated the Destination Imagination Class of 2026 and recognized this year’s scholarship recipients during the Global Finals 2026 Graduation Ceremony. Over the years, these students challenged themselves creatively, supported the people around them, stepped outside of their comfort zones, and discovered new confidence through their experience in DI. Over the past two days, more than 600 Destination Imagination Challenge Experience teams from around the world arrived in Kansas City for the start of Global Finals 2026. Last night's Welcome Ceremony was a reminder of what makes this experience so meaningful: students from different countries and cultures celebrating together, cheering each other on, and connecting through creativity. From the Parade of Nations to science demonstrations, artistic performances, and moment after moment of pure excitement throughout the arena, the evening reflected the collaboration, confidence, and connection these students have been building all season long. On Friday morning, teams will begin presenting the solutions they’ve spent months creating.
