Mercedes-Benz Trucks presents the reECONIC: an electric waste collection vehicle made from recycled materials. 🚛🔋♻️ 🔍 At a glance: ➡️ Leading the project are our Daimler Truck division Mercedes-Benz Trucks, the waste collection vehicle specialist FAUN Group and recycling company TSR Group GmbH & Co. KG. ➡️ The waste collection vehicle is based on the battery-electric Mercedes-Benz #eEconic and demonstrates how the circular economy can be implemented in the commercial vehicle sector. Vehicle logistics? Yes, please - but let's make it fully electric. 🚛🔋 Danish vehicle logistics provider Dansk Auto Logik has recently put its first fully electric car transporter into operation, based on our Mercedes‑Benz eActros 600. The battery‑electric truck transports new passenger vehicles among other things on a fixed route between Vamdrup in Denmark and Bremerhaven in northern Germany, more than 380 kilometers away. Here are some facts: ⚡️ It is based on a 4x2 #eActros600 tractor unit with ProCabin cab and a two‑axle trailer, designed to carry up to six vehicles. ⚡️ Its batteries are based on lithium iron phosphate cell technology (LFP) and are characterized by a long service life. ⚡️In addition to the three battery packs of the tractor unit, a separate battery is installed on the trailer to supply the hydraulic systems during loading and unloading, thereby conserving the truck’s main batteries. #DaimlerTruck | Mercedes-Benz Trucks | 📷️ via Dansk Auto Logik

Our Mercedes-Benz Zetros in one of its many natural habitats - undergoing intensive testing under extreme climatic conditions in the Finnish Arctic Circle. During winter testing at the beginning of this year, temperatures reached as low as minus 20 degrees Celsius, and the road sections were mostly icy and covered with a thick layer of snow – ideal conditions for the on-site tests. The aim of the tests, which were carried out by our Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks team of experts over several weeks, was to verify the reliable operational capability of the vehicles even under harsh winter conditions. In the latest Euro NCAP safety tests for regional distribution transport, Mercedes-Benz Trucks has achieved a five‑star rating with an Actros 4x2 Rigid with box body. ⭐️🚛 Mercedes‑Benz Trucks achieves very good results in several safety‑relevant categories in the Euro NCAP test. These include assistance systems for speed and distance control, lane monitoring and lane‑departure prevention functions, as well as systems that automatically respond when an imminent collision is detected. Driver and occupant monitoring as well as the provision of rescue information for emergency responders are also included in the overall assessment. The results of the tests in urban environments are summarized in the so‑called CitySafe Award. With this distinction, Euro NCAP highlights vehicles that make a particularly strong contribution to road safety in city traffic. May we introduce you to the new “Electric Fuel Cell Bus Champion 2026”? 🚌🏆️ ➡️ Our Mercedes‑Benz eCitaro fuel cell took first place in the international electric bus comparison test conducted by the trade magazine Omnibusspiegel, earning this title. ➡️ This victory represents a milestone for the eCitaro fuel cell: for the first time in the history of the renowned test, fuel‑cell buses competed directly against one another.
