🚀 At CRIF, we believe that empowering women means creating opportunities to grow, lead, and inspire. This commitment took center stage in Casablanca on October 15 with the first Moroccan edition of CRIF Women in Finance, a global CRIF initiative designed to support female leadership, foster meaningful connections, and empower women across the financial services industry through networking, knowledge sharing, and professional development. 🔎 Ahead of the event, loretta chiusoli, CRIF's Corporate HR & Organization Director, shared a message that perfectly captures our vision for inclusion and growth: "For CRIF, advancing gender parity is not just a matter of social responsibility; it’s a business imperative. Diversity fuels creativity, innovation, and sustainable growth." The evening provided an opportunity to exchange experiences, build new connections, and reflect on the evolving role of women in shaping the future of financial services. One of the ideas that helped inspire this initiative came from Arianna Lombardo, who shared her perspective on leadership in an interview leading up to the event: "For me, leadership means empowering, not commanding. Instead of controlling, I build trust; instead of imposing, I empower." 👏 Thank you to all the incredible women who joined us and contributed to making this first Moroccan edition of CRIF Women in Finance such a meaningful experience. 🏦 Amid continued inflationary pressures and uncertainty surrounding the economic outlook, the European Central Bank (ECB) has decided to leave its key interest rates unchanged, following the 25-basis-point increase announced in September. With inflation still above the ECB’s long-term target, keeping rates unchanged provides additional time to assess the effects of recent monetary tightening. Developments in credit demand, borrowing behaviour and financing conditions will provide important insights into the resilience and confidence of consumers and businesses. 🗨️ Our expert, Simone Mirani, Managing Director of CRIF Ratings, commented on the decision: “Today’s ECB decision represents more of a hawkish hold rather than a signal that the rate-hiking cycle is over. Maintaining interest rates at their current level allows more time to assess the medium-term impact of previous monetary tightening on inflation and economic activity. While stable rates provide some predictability for borrowers, uncertainty surrounding future financing conditions continues to influence financial decisions. From a credit market perspective, the coming months will be particularly important in determining whether consumers and businesses regain confidence in taking on new financial commitments. Trends in credit applications, borrowing intentions and repayment behaviour will provide valuable indications of whether the credit standing of consumers and businesses remains resilient as confidence gradually recovers, or whether persistent uncertainty translates into rising credit risks, weaker credit demand and, ultimately, softer economic activity.”

🛡️ In the near future, a company’s cyber posture could influence its interest rates or even its access to capital. Last year marked a record level for cyber threats. According to the CRIF Cyber Observatory, nearly 2.25 million alerts concerning personal and business data were sent in 2025. Exposed credentials can make fraud and ransomware attacks easier to execute. The resulting disruption, costs and revenue losses can turn cyber exposure into financial risk. This connection is drawing greater attention from banks, which are examining how digital resilience could be incorporated into credit-merit evaluations. Cybersecurity is therefore moving beyond its traditional role as an IT issue and cost. Protecting data and empowering employees are becoming increasingly important to financial stability and growth. 👇 Read the full article to explore why cyber resilience is becoming a strategic business asset!

Moreover, SMEs, which make up most of Europe’s enterprises, report the weakest access to finance, the slowest decisions and the least understanding from their providers. Businesses are not asking for technology for its own sake. Car financing is a key growth driver for financial institutions, but it also comes with increasing pressure to deliver faster credit decisions, seamless customer experience, and robust risk management. To assess an applicant’s creditworthiness, lenders rely on a wide range of supporting documents, including payslips, bank statements, and proof of income. When these documents are altered, manipulated, or even generated using AI, the accuracy of risk assessments can be compromised, exposing institutions to hidden losses, compliance issues, and inefficient manual reviews. As part of CRIF ORCHESTRA, the composable platform that orchestrates data, analytics, decisioning, and fraud prevention across the credit lifecycle, SMART CATCHER helps financial institutions strengthen every step of the car loan origination process. Powered by CRIF's proprietary AI, large language models, neural networks, and expert rules, the solution automatically classifies documents, extracts relevant information, and detects anomalies or signs of tampering, including emerging GenAI-generated fraud. By reducing document verification times, improving data reliability, and providing investigators with actionable fraud insights, SMART CATCHER enables lenders to: ✅ Accelerate loan approvals ✅ Improve credit decision quality ✅ Enhance the digital onboarding experience ✅ Reduce operational costs and manual reviews ✅ Strengthen fraud prevention and regulatory compliance By combining document intelligence, fraud prevention, and decision automation within CRIF ORCHESTRA, financial institutions can streamline car loan origination while increasing confidence in every lending decision. 🎥 Watch the video to see how lenders can identify document inconsistencies before they become credit risks. 🔍 The next generation of banking growth will be driven by institutions that understand not only who their customers are, but what motivates them and when their needs have changed. The Philippines offers a compelling example of this trend. In 2025, the number of active credit card accounts increased by 17% year over year to 13.4 million, while new account acquisitions declined by 14%. This contrast reveals a maturing market: existing cardholders are becoming more engaged and valuable, but acquiring new customers through broad, demographic-based strategies is becoming more difficult. The opportunity now lies in gaining a deeper understanding of customers. By turning transactional and behavioral data into hyper-granular insights, banks can identify emerging needs, engage customers at the right moment, and build more relevant and valuable relationships. 👉 Read the full article to explore how behavioral intelligence can help banks move from product-led marketing to moment-led engagement! #Banking #BehavioralIntelligence #HyperPersonalization #FinancialServices #Philippines
