  • Enterprise AI agents can now reason and act - but the infrastructure to deploy them safely at scale doesn't exist yet. That's the problem Sycamore Labs is solving. Founded by Sri Viswanath, former CTO of Atlassian and General Partner at Coatue, Sycamore is building the trusted agent operating system for the enterprise: a platform where AI agents earn autonomy through demonstrated reliability, with full governance and auditability from day one. We co-led Sycamore's $65M seed alongside Lightspeed - we see this as a foundational platform opportunity. As enterprises move AI agents from pilot to production, they will need an operating system purpose-built for trust, governance, and collective intelligence. We're proud to partner with Sri and the Sycamore team at the earliest stage of this journey.

  • The loudest AI narrative right now is a solo one - one person, infinite chatbots, no need for anyone else. Ivan Zhao and the Notion team push back on that. The best things aren't built alone. This is a conviction we hold at Coatue. In our C:\Take series, Max Cook dug into why every wave of technology disruption has created more collaboration, not less. AI will be no different. Think Together.

The loudest story about AI is a lonely one. One person with an army of chatbots. Other humans are friction. That gets the future wrong. The best things aren’t built alone. In a moment of change, we want to remind the world (and ourselves) what Notion stands for: — Think Together

  • Sycamore Labs provides a full lifecycle platform for enterprise AI: discover, build, deploy, observe, and evolve.   We're excited to lead the company's $65M seed round and support the team as they build the operating system for autonomous enterprise AI. Learn more below ⬇️

We're excited to announce our $65 million seed round to build the operating system for autonomous enterprise AI. Sycamore enables organizations to deploy and operate AI agents with speed, security, and full operational control. The round was led by Coatue Management and Lightspeed, with additional participation from Abstract, Dell Technologies Capital, 8VC, Fellows Fund, and E14 Fund. AI agents are the next major platform shift in enterprise computing. Models can now reason and act, but enterprises lack the infrastructure to deploy them safely and at scale. Sycamore is building that foundation. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gnUPJPWi

  • The hardest part of investing isn’t the math. It’s the psychology. At the SEO (Sponsors for Educational Opportunity) event, Philippe Laffont and Henry Kravis discussed the rarest skill in the industry: The Art of Patience. Philippe frames it as a precise balance of extremes. If you are always patient, you fall behind. If you are always decisive, you are likely reacting to emotion. The "Alpha" exists in the tension between the two. It is the difference between a 5% loss and a 100% missed opportunity. Watch the full exchange on the discipline of patience. #SEOAICON

  • We are moving from an era of data storage to an era of intelligence production. As Thomas Laffont shared, the global economy is retooling for a new industrial paradigm: the Token Factory. The transition from CPUs to GPUs was only the first chapter. Today, we are seeing the emergence of global centers designed to manufacture a new unit of work—the Token. This isn't just a software shift; it is a massive physical undertaking requiring three critical inputs: - Land: High-density sites optimized for unprecedented scale. - Electricity: The primary fuel for the modern economy. - Semiconductors: The engines transforming raw power into intelligence. Infrastructure is no longer just a server in a rack; it is a factory for the future.

  • Before gaming consoles, there was Mattel. In our next edition of C:\Vault, we revisit the handheld devices that took over the late ‘70s and defined early portable gaming. 🕹️   Using simple red LED lights on a plastic field, releases like Football (1977), Baseball (1978), and Basketball (1978) became a cultural phenomenon – and one of the first proof points that handheld electronic games could reach the mainstream.   At their peak, they sold up to 500,000 units per week, showing that gaming could extend far beyond arcades and into everyday life.

  • The biggest bottleneck to scale isn't capital or technology - it’s a leader’s inability to let go. At #Cybersparx 2026, David Schneider, General Partner at Coatue broke down the "Founder’s Trap," where scaling past the leadership ceiling requires a fundamental shift from execution to architecture. This transition relies on three pillars: - Radical Simplification: Leadership at scale is an exercise in repetition—simplifying and aligning goals until the mission is unmistakable. - Trust as Infrastructure: High performance is not a byproduct of KPIs alone; it is built on a foundation of trust and coaching. - The "Doer" Pivot: Growth happens when you move beyond solving every problem yourself and start building the systems—and the team—to solve them for you. True scale is measured by how effectively you can replace yourself.

A structural shift is underway. Legal work is no longer constrained by the hours in a day or the size of a team. Lawyers can pursue more matters, evaluate more opportunities, and operate with a level of depth and precision that wasn’t previously possible. High-volume, high-complexity tasks are moving to agents that run workflows end-to-end, allowing lawyers to focus on judgment, strategy, and collaboration. Today we’re announcing a new round at an $11 billion valuation, co-led by GIC and Sequoia Capital. More than 25,000 custom agents already run on Harvey. With this funding, we will scale the agents our customers deploy and expand the legal engineering teams that help them turn expertise into systems. We’re grateful to our customers, investors, and employees for their partnership, trust, and shared vision. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/eAmEwXfg

  • Legal work has historically been defined by volume - more hours, more associates, more review. Harvey is replacing this model. By moving high-complexity tasks to custom agents that run workflows end-to-end, they are equipping lawyers to focus on pure strategy and judgment. The adoption of this platform speaks to the operational expertise of the team: 25,000+ custom agents deployed 1,300+ organizations onboarded 60 countries reached This is a calibrated new operating system for the entire legal profession. Coatue is proud to follow-on in Harvey's latest growth round as they continue to scale. Congratulations to Winston Weinberg, Gabe Pereyra, and the Harvey team. Learn more in the comments ⬇️
