  • In a candid reflection on personal growth, Coacharya Trainer and PCC Coach Priya Ramanarayan explores the hidden cost of holding ourselves to an impossible standard. While many of us view perfectionism as a professional asset, identifying it as a "top saboteur" reveals how our perceived strengths can sometimes hinder our progress. • The International Coaching Federation Thought Leadership Institute has recently released its first Coaching Futures Report, offering a forward-looking view of the coaching profession. At the center of the report is a thought-provoking question. As coaching continues to grow globally, who is it really reaching, and who is still excluded? A few themes stand out: • Access is the central thread throughout the report, exploring who receives coaching, who can become a coach, and how affordable, culturally relevant, and available coaching is across different contexts. • Coaching is positioned within broader ecosystems that include leadership, work, education, health, and community well-being, rather than limiting it to individual development alone. • Technology is woven into the future of coaching, with digital tools and AI expected to influence how coaching is delivered and scaled. The report strongly emphasizes that ethics, human judgment, and relational presence need to remain core to the profession. • Cultural intelligence is treated as a core capability. Working effectively across cultures, generations, and geographies is presented as essential to coaching practice, education, and credibility going forward. • Multiple futures are explored, with four distinct scenarios for coaching in 2036 offered, highlighting different combinations of technology use and collaboration. These scenarios invite reflection on how today’s choices influence what coaching becomes. The report is an invitation to think more deliberately about the future of coaching, and the role each of us plays in shaping it. How do you see the future of coaching, and where do you see yourself in it? #CoachingFuture #ICF #CoachDevelopment #Coacharya

  • How much of what you hear is actually your client, and how much is just the echo of your own internal noise? While coaches strive to be objective observers, our minds are constantly narrating, judging, and translating. If you aren't listening to your own internal state, you aren't truly listening to the person in front of you. You are simply listening to your interpretation of them. The foundation of listening lies in self-awareness. When you are self-aware and try to understand your inner landscapes, it allows you to distinguish between your own mental clutter and the client's actual reality. When you learn to notice the tension in your jaw or the sudden shift in your emotional state, you access a new channel of data. This inward turn is the only way to create the space necessary for a genuine outward connection. We invite you to go beyond the surface and refine your presence through our upcoming cohorts. • When things get intense, attention often focuses on external factors, the problem, the timeline, or how others are But there’s something much more influential happening under the surface. Self-talk. The inner voice can be much more than just a voice, it can operate as a steering wheel. It impacts what we notice, how we navigate challenges, and even how we are experienced by others. This is why real leadership development requires identifying the internal triggers that lead leaders to react rather than respond. Learning to be aware of these cues and work with them, rather than around them, enables intentional action and professional consistency. This focus on internal awareness and self-regulation is a core thread in our executive coaching program, where coaches learn to work with leaders at the level beneath the surface, supporting intentional responses, compassionate leadership, and meaningful action under pressure. Ram S. Ramanathan, MCC, and Cindy Muthukarapan, MCC, ACTC, will be facilitating an International Coaching Federation Level 2 Professional Certified Coach (PCC) Program beginning Saturday, February 21, at 10:30 AM IST. If you are ready to deepen your coaching mindset, practice, and leadership impact at the PCC level, we invite you to join us. Contact us to learn more.

  • In the modern workplace, birth years often end up defining us. We may treat these labels like scripts, assuming they tell us everything we need to know about how someone thinks, works, or leads. But beneath the surface of "Generations" lies the deeper human experience: the unspoken expectations, the varied paces of life, and the unique lenses through which we view accountability. We often get caught up in the friction of different eras. But the real work lies in adapting our own approach to meet others where they are, without compromising the standards we all strive for. Dr. Aman Jain, CHRO at e2e Rail, and Smita R, PCC, ACTC, will be leading this exploration into the myths and modern realities of the multigenerational team. You are warmly invited to join us for this insightful conversation on how we can work better, together. Registration link in the comments. #FreeWebinar #Leadership #Coacharya

  • How do leaders set boundaries, maintain agency, and stay responsible for decisions in environments where AI is increasingly present? In a recent webinar, Dr. Ronak Batra, Expert Consultant at BCG, and Smita R, Leadership and Team Development Coach, ACTC and PCC, explore how AI tools are affecting the workforce, and the cognitive and responsibility shifts leaders are beginning to notice. Rather than focusing on tools or efficiency, the conversation looks at judgment, recall, accountability, and the risk of outsourcing thinking without clear guardrails. This short clip captures one of those moments. Watch the full webinar, Building Human Capability: Skills That Matter in an AI-Driven World, on our YouTube channel. https://lnkd.in/ghR5A2Kj

  • Many people who struggle to meet their goals believe they have a discipline problem. What if they don’t? What if they have a choice problem?   When we operate from "should," "must," or "can’t," we create internal friction. That friction is what makes change feel like an uphill battle, a battle that can lead to burnout and giving up.   Contrary to our expectations, sustainable growth does not necessarily require us to push harder. Real change comes from shifting the source of your energy from external pressure to internal motivation.   In our Associate Certified Coach programs, we teach core coaching skills such as presence, deep listening, and asking evocative questions that support clients in understanding their motivation and strengthening their autonomy. At the same time, the program supports coaches in clarifying and deepening their own sense of purpose and direction.   We offer ICF-accredited Level 1 programs with multiple start dates across different time zones throughout the year. Reach out to learn more.    #CoachTraining #ICFCoaching #LeadershipDevelopment #ProfessionalCoaching
