Our recent guest on The Tea in Behavioral Health said it best: "I came for the people. I stayed for improving the systems that were supposedly serving them." Linda Rosenberg has spent forty years doing exactly that. And in this episode, she takes us back to the moment that started it all. This is the conversation behavioral health has been waiting for. Listen now on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Amazon Music. https://lnkd.in/gPGj7-AK #TheTea #BehavioralHealth #YourAIYourWay

When caseloads grow, documentation can't be the thing that breaks your team. Clinically AI gives behavioral health organizations hours back every week across their entire clinical workforce. Not just one clinician. The whole team. That's the kind of capacity that shows up in retention, in care quality, and in your ability to actually scale. #ClinicallyAI #BehavioralHealth #ClinicalDocumentation

We are so very honored and humbled to welcome Linda Rosenberg to the Behavioral Health Hall of Fame. There are few people who have shaped behavioral health in America the way Linda Rosenberg has. Mental health parity. Mental Health First Aid. CCBHCs. The Excellence in Mental Health Act. The architecture of modern behavioral health carries her fingerprints throughout. This one is special. Read her amazing story below. #TheTea #HallOfFame #ClinicallyAI

Behavioral health clinicians are the most adaptive people in healthcare. Outdated EHRs? They work around it. Payer requirements that shift every quarter? They figure it out. Documentation that bleeds into evenings and weekends? They absorb it. But resilience isn't sustainability. And "making it work" isn't the same as a system that works. The administrative burden in behavioral health isn't inevitable. It's a structural problem we've decided to solve with clinician grit instead of better infrastructure. AI should change that. Not more automation on top of broken workflows. Less friction. Lighter documentation. Tools that live where clinicians already work. So they can spend their energy on the one thing that actually can't be automated: the person sitting across from them. #ClinicallyAI #BehavioralHealth #ClinicalBurnout #BehavioralHealthLeadership

Everyone's celebrating the growth of school-based behavioral health. 3,900 centers. 6.3 million kids. More funding since COVID. The access story is real and it matters. OPEN MINDS Circle covered it well. But here's what doesn't get covered: what happens operationally when you embed behavioral health clinicians inside schools, spread across campuses, often without reliable connectivity? Documentation doesn't get easier in a community-based setting. Compliance requirements don't get simpler because the setting changed. Medicaid billing still demands defensible documentation. Payer standards still vary by state. Audit risk doesn't take a hall pass. The organizations that will sustain school-based care aren't just the ones with the best clinical model. They're the ones that kept documentation quality consistent across every setting, every clinician, every service. Access is the headline. Operations is the hard part. #ClinicallyAI #BehavioralHealth #SchoolBasedHealth

New release of The Tea is live ☕️ Dr. Wes Williams started his career as a therapist who knew firsthand how hard clinical documentation could be. He spent the next 20 years making sure no clinician has to fight their tools again. Catch the full conversation between Ross and Wes on our podcast (link in comments). Most AI in behavioral health today is just expensive dictation. That’s not a knock on the technology. It’s a reality check on the expectations. Turning speech into paragraphs is helpful. But documentation in our field is more than a narrative summary. It’s: • Discrete fields and dropdowns • Conditional logic • Treatment plan alignment • Medical necessity justification • Program and payer-specific requirements • Audit defensibility If your AI only generates text in a single box, your clinicians are still doing the hardest part manually. Worse, you may be automating speed without strengthening compliance. In behavioral health, documentation is not just about efficiency. It’s about defensibility. Before renewing or implementing any AI solution, ask: Does it reduce documentation time… or does it reduce organizational risk? The best tools should do both.

Most "AI scribes" in behavioral health are session-only tools wearing a compliance badge. They hear what happened in today's session. They write a note. They stop there. That's not enough for behavioral health organizations operating under audit pressure. Here are 5 signs your AI scribe isn't actually chart-aware: 1. It only knows what happened today 2. It can't populate your discrete fields 3. It doesn't check compliance at save 4. You can't explain what it did or why 5. It isn't configured to your org's standards A session-only AI documents the session. A chart-aware AI reads the treatment plan, prior sessions, and clinical history. It populates discrete and narrative fields. It flags compliance gaps before the note is finalized. And it gives clinicians full visibility into its reasoning. The difference isn't speed. It's defensibility. If your AI can't read the chart, it can't protect your organization. #BehavioralHealth #ClinicalDocumentation #ChartAwareAI #HealthcareCompliance
