🌸 SENIORS EXPLORE JAPANESE GARDENS! 🌸 In April our Active Adult Program took 18 seniors on a delightful trip to Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens! Our group enjoyed: 🔅 Peaceful self-guided garden tours 🔅 Tranquil winding paths 🔅 Beautiful koi ponds 🔅 Traditional Japanese landscaping They also learned about the Yamato Colony — Japanese farmers who settled in the area in the early 1900s. Transportation was provided by our small bus, making this cultural experience accessible to all participants! #OaklandParkSeniors #ActiveAdults #CulturalOutings #MorikamiGardens

🚧 Traffic Advisory - NW 21st Ave Road Closure & Detour – Starting May 1st 🚧 Please be advised that beginning Thursday, May 1, 2025, David Mancini and Sons, Inc. will begin construction for Phase 6 of the Prospect Lake Clean Water Center Water Main Project. Work will involve installing a 48-inch water main at the intersection of NW 21st Avenue and Prospect Road. Northbound lanes across NW 21st Avenue will be closed for approximately two weeks. Detour routes: 🔷 Northbound traffic: Turn left onto Prospect Road, then right onto Commercial Blvd. 🔷 Westbound traffic: Continue west on Prospect Road, then right onto Commercial Blvd. 🔷 Eastbound traffic: Continue east on Prospect Road, then left onto Powerline Road.
