This month, our Asian and Pacific Islander Inclusion Resource Group (API IRG) celebrated Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a series of celebrations that reminded all of us why cultural awareness sits at the heart of who we are. Play on the Plaza — Our API IRG brought the joy of cultural connection directly to the children visiting our hospital with a special "Play on the Plaza" event. Seeing those smiles is exactly the kind of healing that goes beyond medicine. Roundtable Conversation — Colleagues gathered to share personal stories about how they celebrate their heritage. These conversations deepen the empathy and understanding that define our culture of care. Na Hale Dancers Performance — In an unforgettable highlight, the Na Hale Dancers brought the spirit and grace of Pacific Islander dance to life for our team. And yes, our employees jumped in and learned a few moves themselves! At Children's Wisconsin, we believe that understanding and embracing different cultures doesn't just make us a better workplace — it makes us better caregivers. When our teams reflect the rich diversity of the families we serve, we're able to provide care that is truly seen, heard and felt. To every member of our Asian and Pacific Islander community: Thank you for sharing your culture, your stories and your light with all of us. #APIHeritageMonth #ChildrensWisconsin #ChildrensWI #API

28 years. Countless stories. One mission. In 1997, Jackie Gauger walked through our doors for the first time, joining the Public Relations Department with a journalism degree, a passion for storytelling and a drive to make a difference. Nearly three decades later, she's still here — and our organization is better for it every single day. Jackie's career at Children's Wisconsin has been anything but ordinary. From her early days as a PR Specialist — helping families navigate media attention during some of their most difficult moments to leading our Communication team through the unprecedented challenges of a global pandemic —Jackie has met every moment with dedication, creativity and heart. Since stepping into the role of Director of Communication in 2015, Jackie has built and led a team she proudly calls storytellers. Because that's what she believes great communication really is — telling the stories that remind our entire organization why they chose this mission. "Communication and marketing can have a direct impact and really help kids and families,” said Jackie. “The work makes a difference and when you know that what you do matters, it's easy to come back and do it day after day." 28 years. Countless stories told. Immeasurable impact made. Jackie, thank you for your unwavering commitment to Children's Wisconsin, to our team and to the kids and families we serve. We are so proud to call you one of our own. If you’re looking for more than a job — and want a career with purpose — we’d love to have you join our team. Two days. Countless stories. More than $1,016,000 raised for Wisconsin's kids. The 28th annual WKLH Miracle Marathon for Children's Wisconsin sponsored by Mars Family Foundation comes to life each year through the voices that carry the most weight — the children and families who have experienced our care firsthand. Listening to their stories last week during the broadcast on 96.5 WKLH was a humbling reminder of why this work matters. They illustrate that exceptional pediatric care combines medical expertise with genuine human connection. The funds raised will go directly toward ensuring every child receives the world-class care they deserve. Thank you to our Foundation team for helping families share their stories with such care and authenticity, and to our friends at 96.5 WKLH for championing this cause for nearly three decades. Thank you also to our sponsors and the generous listeners who chose to support our work. We are so proud to be part of a community that rallies around its kids. #MiracleMarathon #ChildrensWisconsin #ChildrensWI

Let’s dispel a myth of working in pediatrics. Myth #2: Communicating with children and families is too hard. Reality: It's a skill — and one you can absolutely master. Yes, navigating conversations with parents can have challenging moments. But here's what experience teaches us: the vast majority of parents show up with open hearts. They are friendly, cooperative and deeply grateful for the professionals who care for their children. With the right training and environment, you'll learn to connect with young patients in ways that are honest, clear and enjoyable. Reading their cues, earning their trust and watching them open up — it's one of the most fulfilling parts of working in pediatric care. Communication in pediatrics isn't a barrier. It's a superpower waiting to be developed. If you're a health care professional ready to build that skill set and make a real difference for children and families, we want to hear from you. https://lnkd.in/gqjt7hFc #PediatricCare #HealthcareCareers #HealthcareJobs #Pediatrics #ChildrensWisconsin

We are excited to announce that Children’s Wisconsin is joining the Ryan Seacrest Foundation's national network, becoming home to the 16th Seacrest Studio location nationwide! Opening mid-2028 inside our Milwaukee Hospital, the studio will give patients a fully equipped space to host their own shows, produce videos and interview celebrity guests — in person or virtually from their rooms. Our patients in our Fox Valley Hospital will also have access to this unique content. Let’s dispel a myth of working in pediatrics. Myth 1: Pediatric care is harder than adult care. Reality: It's not harder — it's different. Pediatrics demands a unique set of skills, yes. But with that comes something rare in health care, the chance to make a profound, lasting impact on a child's entire life and their families. If you're a nurse, physician, therapist or health care professional considering a move into pediatric care, don't let this myth hold you back. The rewards are unmatched. The purpose is clear. We're hiring compassionate health care professionals ready to make a difference. https://lnkd.in/gqjt7hFc #PediatricCare #HealthcareCareers #HealthcareJobs #Pediatrics #ChildrensWisconsin
