May is Oncology Nursing Month — and there’s a different kind of nursing moment worth celebrating. Ask Colleen, Pam, Amy, Michelle, and Whitney—five oncology nurses from five different states who volunteer at Casting for Recovery retreats—what it’s like on the other side of the river. They’ll tell you about women finally letting go of stress, finding peace, and rediscovering strength they didn’t know they still had. And they’ll tell you something unexpected: the experience changed them, too. If you’re an oncology nurse or breast health nurse navigator, this is your invitation to volunteer with Casting for Recovery—and be part of what comes next for women with breast cancer. Read more about why oncology nurses make a CfR retreat unlike anything else: https://lnkd.in/eDZneDbv

About us
Casting for Recovery® (CfR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 1996 by two women -- a breast reconstructive surgeon and a professional fly fisher. CfR’s unique program combines breast cancer education and peer support with the therapeutic sport of fly fishing. The retreats offer opportunities for women to find inspiration, discover renewed energy for life and experience healing connections with other women and nature. CfR’s retreats are open to breast cancer survivors of all ages, in all stages of treatment and recovery, and are at no cost to participants.

Casting for Recovery (CfR), a national nonprofit providing no-cost fly fishing retreats for women in treatment or recovery from breast cancer, is proud to announce Mirr Ranch Group as a national sponsor in celebration of its 30th anniversary. “Mirr Ranch Group is honored to support Casting for Recovery and the incredible work they do,” said Haley Mirr of Mirr Ranch Group. “We believe deeply in the power of land and nature to inspire, restore, and bring people together. The landscapes we work on, like Reeder Creek Ranch, create a rare opportunity for people to reconnect with the outdoors and with one another, which is why we are proud to help bring this campaign to life in a way that drives meaningful and lasting impact.” You can enter Casting for Recovery's most ambitious national campaigns to date, anchored by a sweepstakes featuring an INEOS Grenadier Fieldmaster. The campaign is designed to accelerate awareness, expand CfR’s donor community, and ultimately serve more women through its no-cost, oncology-informed retreats. 🎣 We believe great branding can do more than grow a business, it can support a mission. We’re proud to spotlight Stacey Benham from Casting for Recovery, an incredible nonprofit providing healing outdoor retreats for women with breast cancer. 💗 When we were contacted about wrapping this vehicle, our team knew this project was something special. We were honored to donate the wrap to help amplify their impact and visibility across the community. Shoutout to Stacey for the impact she’s making every day, and to our installers at Denver Graphic Installers for bringing this wrap to life. Sooooo incredibly grateful for the support Mirr Ranch Group!
Some of our team attended a screening of @castingforrecovery's The Jane Project at the flyfishingfilmtour last night. The Jane Project is more than a boat - it’s an invitation to be part of something meaningful. Created by a community that believes in healing on the water, Jane honors women and their stories. Each engraved tribute becomes a lasting symbol of love, remembrance, and resilience. As Jane travels, she will carry these stories with her - featured in the film and at events across the country - helping ensure more women with breast cancer experience connection, healing, and hope. We are proud to be a sponsor of The Jane Project!
