About us

It all started with an idea at Block in 2013. Initially built to take the pain out of peer-to-peer payments, Cash App has gone from a simple product with a single purpose to a dynamic ecosystem, developing unique financial products, including Afterpay, to provide a better way to send, spend, invest, borrow and save to our 50+ million monthly active customers. We want to redefine the world’s relationship with money to make it more relatable, instantly available, and universally accessible. This is our mission, and it’s why working at Cash App means so much more than a job. Today, Cash App has thousands of employees working globally across office and remote locations, with a culture geared toward innovation, collaboration and impact. We’ve been a distributed team since day one, and many of our roles can be done remotely from the countries where Cash App operates. No matter the location, we tailor our experience to ensure our employees are creative, productive, and happy.

The Moment you’ve been waiting for. Get your brat card while supplies last. Following a surge of fan demand, we're bringing the fictional brat card from A24's "The Moment" to life. For real this time. In the critically acclaimed meta-mockumentary chronicling Charli xcx's brat album era, a fictional banking card partnership captivated the films’ fans. Then, real fans flooded real social media feeds asking for a real version (yes, really). A24 released a limited-edition “movie merch” dummy card that sold out in hours.   The demand was clear. So we made it happen. "Cash App is uniquely positioned to bring something like the brat Card to life in a way that feels authentic," said Nick Molnar, Cash App's Marketing Lead. "We saw how much excitement there was from fans and worked closely with the team to make it happen." The limited-edition brat Cash App Visa Card is available for $5 starting today, February 25, 2026, exclusively through the Cash App mobile application or cash [dot] app [type it in your web browser]. The card mimics the design from the film and comes with an exclusive brat-themed payment pad and access to cash back offers and concert presales. When fans wanted the brat card to be real, we listened. Turning a moment from film into something you can swipe and spend with. That’s money, that's Cash App. Get yours now. Disclaimers below ↓

    • Front and back of a lime green Cash App Visa debit card featuring a "brat" design inspired by Charli XCX's album aesthetic. The front shows "Howard Stirling" branding with the tagline "rip the moment" and the word "brat" in large lowercase black text. The back displays the cardholder name "Erin Hills," a sample card number, CVV, expiration date, contactless payment symbol, Visa debit logo, and fine print noting "Designed by Cash App—and you" with issuance by Sutton Bank. Both sides are set against a dark textured background.
  • We’ve landed in Palm Springs 🌴 eTail is officially underway, and we’re talking Gen Z growth, mobile-first checkout, and smarter BNPL strategies with retailers all week. If you’re here, come find us — or grab time while the coffee’s still hot ☕

Today, we're opening the Cash App Score waitlist for lending partners. Cash App Score will give customers a near real-time measure of their financial health, empower them to better understand how their everyday financial activity influences their Cash App Score, and show them actions they can take within the app to strengthen it. Trained on billions of proprietary data points from both Cash App and Afterpay, Cash App Score uses near real-time financial behavior to responsibly evaluate risk. Cash App Score represents a modern alternative powered by the same risk infrastructure Block used to provide access to more than $100 Billion in consumer loans since 2022. This novel approach outperforms traditional credit scores, enabling 38% higher approval rates without increasing risk for our Cash App Borrow product.  Why are we opening a waitlist for lenders? Customers deserve control over their financial data and transparency around their credit access. We're looking for lending partners who share our commitment to responsible growth. Cash App Score will be available to customers later in 2026. Interested? Join the waitlist → https://lnkd.in/eGwusdVf Disclaimers: Cash App is a financial services platform, not a bank. Banking services provided by Cash App’s bank partner(s). Afterpay is offered and managed through your Cash App account - no Afterpay account needed. Eligibility is based on several factors and is not guaranteed.

  • You really typed "hey just wanted to follow up on that $47 for dinner lol no rush" didn't you. We won’t make you do that anymore. Introducing Payment Links — a new way to request money on Cash App that's as easy as sending a text. Generate a shareable link, drop it in your group chat, DM, or email, and let the money come to your Cash App. No passive-aggressive reminders or awkward push notifications required. Just a link 🔗 "Payment links make moving money even more seamless, but just as importantly they make the task of requesting money feel more human and less awkward. We've heard from our customers that sending in-app payment requests and push notifications can sometimes come across overly formal or even passive aggressive. Payment links solve this by allowing customers to send requests through whichever platform feels most natural so that they can add context, levity, or humor to the conversation." — Kristen Anderson, P2P & Networks Product Lead at Cash App The data backs it up: In a 2024 survey commissioned by Cash App, 53% of Gen Z respondents shared they send a reminder text before a payment request, and 49% follow up with another message after. Payment links cut those extra steps by meeting people where they are naturally — in texts, DMs, and group chats. How to get started: > Open Cash App and tap the payment tab to start a request > Instead of adding a recipient, tap "Share Link" to generate your unique payment link > Send it anywhere — text, email, social, DMs — and get paid in seconds Payment links are available now for all eligible Cash App customers, including Cash App for Business accounts.

The text reads "Carissa Thompson sent you a request," along with a message that says "Is that time again! Thanks," and a reply that says "Amazing, paying now."

Cash App is built for living on bitcoin
We're building the tools that make it easier to live on bitcoin every day. Starting now, we're rolling out major updates to make that real:
• We're lowering fees, with clearer pricing. For buys over $2,000, we're removing fees and spreads entirely
• We're increasing bitcoin withdrawal limits by 5x for eligible customers
• We're expanding funding rails to support larger, more reliable purchases
• And we're improving how bitcoin works across the app, end to end
    • A pair of glasses with lightning bolt arms sits next to an iPhone showing the cash app open on a mirrored tray. The text next to image reads:

"These changes are foundational, and they help make bitcoin usable as money.
Bitcoin works when it moves easily, when people can rely on it day to day, and when it fits naturally into how they earn, save, and spend - not when it sits idle as an asset.
Cash App leads in living on bitcoin. It offers one of the most affordable, deeply integrated bitcoin experiences inside a mainstream financial app - from getting paid in bitcoin through direct deposit with no fee and no spread, to finding places to spend with Bitcoin Map, automatically converting dollars into bitcoin, rounding up spare change into bitcoin with everyday purchases, and moving bitcoin into self-custody with Bitkey."
    • A tile that looks like a labryinth connected to a keychain that has a stainless steel key, bitcoin icon, and dollar icon, juxtapose an iPhone open with the Cash App Bitcoin tab open that says "Invest with ease." Text next to the image reads:

"Bitcoin has matured, and we're building to match how it's actually used today.
This year, we're making bitcoin work in the background of everyday life, removing friction and eliminating the forced choice between dollars and bitcoin. That means deposits that convert automatically into bitcoin, peer-to-peer payments funded by bitcoin, and an experience designed for people who want to live primarily on bitcoin."
    • A mirrored shopping bag sits upon a cloud. Inside the shopping bag, a baguette sticks out, along with a stainless steel key chain with a Bitcoin charm dangles from a neon green arm. A receipt is stuck to the bag, alongside a takeaway coffee mug that's festooned with a neon green lid. Next to the objects, Cash App is open to the "Bitcoin Map," which shows Square-powered businesses that accept Bitcoin. Text next to the image reads: "Cash App is just one part of our broader effort.
Square enables merchants to accept bitcoin payments, and Bitkey gives people a simple path to self-custody on their own terms. Across Block, we're making bitcoin part of daily life - simple, practical and built to work.
Keep the feedback coming.
It's how we build better for you."
