As we close out Child Abuse Awareness Month (though the work is never finished!), let's shout out the amazing work being done to support families in NYC! 🤝 Two months ago, Raphaelle St. Vil-Thorne represented CAMBA at the ACS Division of Prevention Services event, where new resources created in collaboration with @PublicPolicyLab and other community partners were unveiled to improve access to prevention programs. These tools, including materials for families and providers, aim to streamline referrals and expand support. #ChildAbuseAwarenessMonth #CommunitySupport #ACSNYC #PreventionPathways 📸 @nycacs

Today, April 30th, we stood together for Denim Day at CAMBA, raising awareness and showing support for survivors of sexual violence. Denim Day began after a controversial Italian Supreme Court ruling that overturned a rape conviction because the victim was wearing tight jeans, implying she consented. Wearing denim on this day is a powerful way to challenge these victim-blaming myths. As April is also Child Abuse Awareness Month, we recognize the importance of protecting all vulnerable individuals in our community. Just as Denim Day challenges victim-blaming, Child Abuse Awareness Month encourages us to create safe environments and support systems for children. Participants engaged by wearing denim, accessing vital resources at our information table, signing pledges to take action, and decorating patches as a symbol of solidarity. If you weren't able to join us, it's not too late to get involved! Learn more about how you can support survivors and help end sexual violence by visiting CAMBA.org. #DenimDay2025 #SexualAssaultAwareness #TakeAction #SupportSurvivors #CAMBA #ChildAbuseAwarenessMonth

🌟 This April, we celebrate Volunteer Awareness Month, and we're thrilled to have Starbucks team members join us in making a difference at CAMBA’s Beyond Hunger Food Pantry! 🎉 In FY’24, we witnessed a significant increase in visits to our pantry, with over 148,000 visits, reflecting the urgent need in our community. As the primary resource for many recent migrants and asylum seekers, we opened our doors wide to provide not only food but also warmth and support during challenging times. A heartfelt thank you to Starbucks for sharing your time and energy with us. Together, we're not just feeding bellies; we're nurturing hope and building a stronger community. 💚 #VolunteerAwarenessMonth #CommunityHeroes #BeyondHunger #Starbucks #FoodPantry #CAMBA
