About us

Black Women of Long Island (BWLI), founded in 2021, is a chamber of commerce with a dynamic community of over 4,300+ members dedicated to celebrating and empowering Black women across Long Island. Our mission is to foster an ecosystem that promotes the circulation and growth of the "Black Dollar" while building a strong sisterhood and networking opportunities for our members. Through a series of curated experiences—including conferences, workshops, and award ceremonies—BWLI recognizes and honors individuals for their remarkable contributions to their fields and communities. Join us as we continue to uplift, connect, and empower Black women across Long Island and beyond.
