  • Lunar Permanence has always been a part of our vision. Our facilities, workforce, and production infrastructure are designed to support NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Moon Base. We're ready to meet the nation's needs. We're all in.

We've announced a series of transformative initiatives to achieve America's National Space Policy, reflecting upcoming opportunities for world-changing science and discovery. We're planning to build a lunar base in three phases, ensure our presence in low Earth orbit, and launch the first nuclear powered interplanetary spacecraft to Mars. • Our second Blue Moon MK1 is moving through the production line at Lunar Plant 1 in Florida. The aft module and LOX/LH2 tanks are in assembly, with the aft module recently transitioning from a test fixture to a low-test stand for processing. Each lander is a step toward Lunar Permanence.

This week, I had the privilege to chat with our current intern class moderated by Darsh Devkar and Apurva Nayak—thank you both! This group is working across New Glenn, Blue Ring, and Lunar, contributing to everything from engine testing and vehicle structures to ground software, and more. We talked about where AI is headed and what it means to be a young engineer at this moment in space history. Thank you for being part of Team Blue — the future of this industry is in great hands.

  • Working alongside JPL/Caltech, we've developed a Near-Earth Objects (NEO) Hunter mission concept for planetary defense using Blue Ring. NEO Hunter tests multiple asteroid-deflection techniques, including ion-beam deflection and robust direct kinetic impact, helping protect Earth from potential threats. This is another example of how commercial platforms like Blue Ring can conduct low-cost, high-priority science, exploration, and planetary defense missions.

    • A two-panel mission diagram showing Blue Ring and JPL's NEO Hunter concept. Phase 1 depicts ion beam deflection redirecting an asteroid's path. Phase 2 shows a kinetic impactor striking the asteroid.
  • Our Mars Telecommunications Orbiter, built upon the Blue Ring platform, will strengthen the communications backbone at the Red Planet while creating new pathways for science. Capable of delivering multiple payloads to the surface and orbits of Mars, it drives discovery today and prepares for the next chapter of human exploration. Blue Ring is mission-ready to support NASA’s Mars Telecommunications Network program. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eJnNGm_W

  • We're proud to be a presenting sponsor of Vets in Space (VetsinTech), a national program creating clear pathways for veterans and military spouses into space careers. At Blue Origin, we have significant opportunities for skilled builders and technicians, and that's where military experience really shines. Opportunities span: Launch and mission operations, satellite systems and communications, manufacturing and technical operations, and space-adjacent innovation The military community brings discipline, technical expertise, and problem-solving capabilities that align perfectly with Blue's mission. That's why we're building structured training programs and creating entry points for military talent across our locations in Washington, Texas, Alabama, Florida, and California. To veterans and military spouses: Space needs your skills. Your next mission launches here. Explore careers at Blue Origin: https://lnkd.in/e4Xxppju.

  • Why choose between the Moon and Mars when you can explore both — and more? A production line of capable spacecraft means the list of destinations keeps growing while costs get lower. Blue Ring provides communications and can host and deploy science and exploration payloads, all in a single vehicle. From the Moon, Mars, Venus, asteroids, and beyond, it’s all possible with Blue Ring. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/eGn5Qreg
