  • “Some of my clearest thinking happens when I step away, or when everything finally gets quiet.” In an honest moment from Founder’s Talk: What Often Goes Unsaid, Jess Ramos, Founder of Big Data Energy, sits down with Jennifer Palmer, Founder & CEO of JPalmer Collective, to reflect on how physical environment shapes the way we think and make decisions. From changing workspaces throughout the day to prioritizing clean, well-lit surroundings, Jennifer shares how small shifts in space can change energy, restore clarity, and support better judgment. Our surroundings quietly influence the quality of our thinking. Being an entrepreneur is the loneliest job in the world. I don’t live in a big tech city, and I’m not surrounded by people who get it. I’m in my house grinding alone most days (w/ hubby & 5 pets). People in my town don’t understand: ↳ why I work and travel so much ↳ why I haven’t “settled down” and had kids yet ↳ why I didn’t get another “regular job” after being fired The truth is that I’m just really passionate about what I do, and I have a golden opportunity to change the world and build something MEGA cool from scratch all on my own. It’s always a privilege to be able to connect with other founders and learn from them, so I’m excited that BenQ North America brought me and Jennifer Palmer together! We talked all about how our environment affects our productivity and wellbeing while building our own business. Which is why we both love the BenQ Screenbar Halo 2 at our desks. It makes my office feel so warm and welcoming while protecting my eyes working late hours. If you’re a founder, you have to try it out (link ⬇️) #BenQPartner

  • In a culture that rewards speed, clarity often comes from slowing down. In the first episode of Founder’s Talk: What Often Goes Unsaid, Jennifer Palmer, Founder & CEO of JPalmer Collective, sits down with Jess Ramos, Founder of Big Data Energy, to reflect on decision pressure, leadership fatigue, and how environment quietly shapes the way founders think, decide, and lead. This conversation is a reminder that better decisions don’t come from doing more, faster. They come from protecting clarity, intention, and space. 🎥 The full interview is now available on YouTube!
