We're marking a major milestone: 25 years of working alongside nonprofit partners to improve health outcomes and address the root causes of health care costs in North Carolina. This year, we’re celebrating the incredible work of our 1,700+ partners – nonprofit organizations, clinics, and community leaders – who are driving solutions that improve access to care, strengthen youth mental health, and address diet-related chronic conditions. These efforts don’t just improve individual lives – they help create healthier communities and a more sustainable health care system for everyone. Throughout 2026, we’ll highlight stories of impact from across the state, showcasing how our partners are making a difference today while building a healthier tomorrow. Explore our 25th Anniversary website and join us in honoring these organizations: https://lnkd.in/eSz-khiC. Here’s to 25 years of partnership, progress, and impact—and to the work still ahead!

The Blue Cross NC Foundation committed $1M and helped mobilize additional support—unlocking $130M in federal funds to provide grocery benefits for more than 1 million NC children and their families this summer. “When kids have access to nutritious meals, they’re better able to learn, grow, and thrive – laying the foundation for lifelong health. More than a year after Hurricane Helene devastated farms across North Carolina, the resilience of the state's agricultural communities continues to inspire us. Farmers, advocates, and organizations have worked tirelessly to recover and strengthen local food systems—because access to healthy food matters for everyone. We’re proud to support partners who are helping farmers rebuild, adapt, and thrive in the face of tremendous challenges. Their work ensures that healthy food remains accessible and that rural communities remain strong. https://lnkd.in/ejWhaZYm
