At the BCC Next Gen Summit, we had the opportunity to introduce something immersive, something different. ✨ The VR Experience Area. We brought the Time Capsule Project into a fully interactive virtual reality space, allowing attendees to step inside a story, not just watch one. And for those ready to level up? They got to play Merlin: The Game, entering a world of magic, challenge, and strategy. This wasn’t just about showcasing technology. It was about showing how storytelling, gaming, and immersive design can transform the way students engage with ideas. Seeing students put on the headset, explore, react, compete, and connect, that was the real success. Proud to have contributed this creative layer to an already powerful summit. And even more excited about where immersive experiences will take us next.
A few months ago, this event existed only as an idea. A question, really: What would a summit look like if it was designed entirely around how students actually think, learn, and engage today? This week, that idea became the BCC Next Gen Summit 🚀 As President of the Birmingham Consulting Club, leading this project from concept to execution has been one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences I’ve had. Event planning looks simple from the outside, but creating something that is engaging, structured, and meaningful for hundreds of students takes relentless planning, problem-solving, and teamwork. We designed the summit around three immersive zones: • AI & Innovation • Next Gen Impact • Entertainment & Experience To make the experience more interactive, we introduced a passport system, students received a stamp for completing each zone, encouraging movement, curiosity, and full engagement across the entire event. It was a small creative touch that made a big difference demonstrate how intentional design can completely transform an experience. None of this would have been possible without the incredible BCC team who believed in the vision and worked tirelessly to bring it to life.
