About us

Ballyhoo Hospitality began in 2009, when Ryan and Anna O’Donnell opened Gemini in Chicago with a simple goal: to create a place where people felt genuinely welcome. What started as one neighborhood restaurant grew into something more, a hospitality group rooted in community, connection, and care. Today, Ryan O’Donnell and Jon Farrer lead Ballyhoo with a shared vision: thoughtful growth, real hospitality, and giving back to the neighborhoods they serve. From Dine & Donate partnerships to teams who love what they do, Ballyhoo isn’t just about food, it’s about people. Each concept is guided by the same belief: hospitality is personal. And as Ballyhoo expands, slowly and intentionally into places like Florida, that core value never changes. This isn’t just a restaurant group.
