Updates

  • Let's talk about money. For 15 years, Babylist has helped expecting and new parents navigate one of the most overwhelming chapters of their lives, from choosing a stroller to figuring out how many diapers they actually need. We've always been in the business of making the complicated feel manageable. Money is no different. And next month, we're launching something new. Babylist is introducing a first-of-its-kind gifting platform designed to make it as easy to ask for college savings as it is to ask for bottles on a baby registry. We're also helping families do something they've never had a simple way to do before: understand which financial institutions and savings solutions are actually right for them. With the introduction of Trump Accounts (530A accounts), family finances are suddenly top of mind for millions of parents. Saving for a child's future went from "someday" to right now — and families have a lot of questions about where to start. This week our CEO Natalie Gordon chatted with Yasmin Gagne at Fast Company about this next chapter of Babylist where we go well beyond the registry and stay with families and their community for years. What does this look like? • A first-of-its-kind eligibility tool to help families understand what benefits may be available based on their child's birth date and location  • Guidance on financial institutions and products designed specifically for parents — so families can make confident, informed decisions • Educational content developed with trusted financial journalist Lindsey Stanberry • A new gifting experience that makes contributing to a child's future easy, meaningful, and celebratory We're building for the realities modern parents face, from the registry to everything that comes after. 🔗 Read the full story: https://lnkd.in/d5mWMdVb

I’m excited to be heading to Cannes this year in my new role as CMO of Babylist. It will be Babylist’s first Cannes, and we have so much to talk about. We’re growing our experiential footprint with the opening of our NYC showroom later this summer. We recently launched original podcast content that helps families navigate topics like birth with more confidence. And with Babylist Money, we’re simplifying how families plan, save, and receive financial support for their child’s future from birth through college.  There is incredible momentum across the business as we continue expanding how we support families through every stage of their journey. Elizabeth Primm our VP of Strategic Partnerships and Business Development and I will be joining The Female Quotient at the FQ Beach for a conversation on building modern brands through a foundation of trust. At Babylist, we have the privilege of showing up for families during one of the most consequential life moments, and I’m looking forward to sharing how we are building for our next chapter of growth. If you’ll be in Cannes, I would love to see you there! 🇫🇷 🩷 #CannesLions #FemaleQuotient #Leadership #Babylist

  • *tap tap...is this thing on?* 🎙️ (again) Earlier this year, we launched our first podcast, Birth with Babylist, bringing birth education to expecting parents in a format that is free, on-demand, grounded in the real parent experiences, and informed by trusted experts. Today, we’re bringing that same approach to another topic parents have endless questions about: money. Introducing Family Money with Babylist 💸 — a new podcast hosted by Lindsey Stanberry, finance journalist and founder of The Purse, focused on the financial realities of modern family life. It's a money podcast made by parents, for parents. Family Money with Babylist covers topics like: • What does childcare actually cost, and how do families make it work? • How do you save for your kids' future when you're still figuring out your own? • What does financial security even mean when you're responsible for a whole family? • And what are the money conversations around parenting that nobody really talks about? Helping parents feel prepared is what Babylist does best. This podcast makes the financial side of family life feel a little less like a secret. 🔗 Episode 1 is available today: https://lnkd.in/dce-aDw3? #Babylist #FamilyFinance #PodcastLaunch

We're back from the ABC Kids Expo and are feeling inspired ✨ Our team had a chance to test new products and get an up-close look at what's happening across the baby industry. A few trends we spotted: mid-size strollers are having a major moment, high chairs that are designed to grow with families from day one, and bottle washers with more room to handle the endless cycle of bottles. We love seeing brand innovation that makes life easier for modern parents. Big thanks to All Baby & Child | ABC Kids Expo for hosting! We can't wait for families to get their hands on some of this new gear 👀 #ABCKidsExpo #BabyIndustry #ProductInnovation

  • Email production that used to take our team hours now takes minutes. At Iterable’s Activate Summit, Natasha Flynn (Senior Manager, CRM at Babylist) shared how we're using AI to turn a two-hour process into a ~15 minute process. When sending over a billion emails a year, that means hundreds of hours saved across our team. It is a step-change in how we operate, giving our team time to focus on creating more relevant, thoughtful experiences for our Babylist audience. And it’s a great example of how we’re approaching AI across Babylist to shift how we scale. Iterable recognized this as one of the most advanced MCP implementations across their customer base, and we are proud to see Natasha representing Babylist on stage! 👏 Watch the full recording here: https://lnkd.in/dyBd6-Xn

  • Parents preparing for baby don't just need gear, they're looking for guidance and community. More than 10 years ago, we published our first content guide to make the process of building a registry a little less daunting. Since then, we've grown into interactive guides, how-to videos, a podcast, and lifecycle communication tailored to where you are in your journey. And since we opened in Beverly Hills, our showroom registry experts do this work one-on-one with families coming through our doors every day, answering their questions and helping them feel more confident. Our new Best Baby Gear classes are an extension of that same spirit. Led by our editorial team at our LA showroom, they bring parents together in person to learn, ask questions, and connect with each other. We're continuing to expand in-person education in LA and coming soon to New York, alongside the digital resources that help parents get information in the way that works best for them. However you find us, we hope it feels like community. #Babylist #Education #Content

Bringing a car into the Babylist showroom has been something we've dreamed about since opening ~3 years ago. Through our partnership with Volvo Car USA, it's finally here! The Volvo EX90 is in our LA showroom for families to load up, test different car seat configurations, and see how it can fit into their lives as they prepare for baby to arrive. At our most recent Registry Weekend, Volvo hosted ride-and-drives across their SUV lineup. Parents had the chance to get behind the wheel while building their registry and thinking through what life with a baby will really look like. And if you were wondering, anything can be added to a Babylist registry, even a car. 😉 We love working with partners who are designing with families in mind. We’ll be bringing back test drives with Volvo at our next two Registry Weekends later this year! Thank you to The House of Smile for working magic behind the scenes to help make it all happen! #Partnerships #Babylist #Volvo #ExperientialMarketing

  • Our brand partners and expert speakers like Dr. Max are what help make our Registry Weekends so valuable for parents. Thank you for joining us!

One week ago, our client LILLYDOO GmbH took center stage at Babylist Registry Weekend featured as the sole diaper brand at one of the most influential parent events in the US. Two days in Beverly Hills. Hundreds of expecting and new parents. A heartfelt thank you to the Babylist team for the partnership, and to the parents and creators who showed up with genuine enthusiasm. A strong kick-off to LILLYDOO's US fan community - and we're just getting started.
