Event series are one of the most powerful ways to build real community. Instead of one-off interactions, attendees have a framework to return, reconnect, and continue building relationships over time. - Vivianna Alvarez For creators and community builders, event series also pair naturally with media or signature programming. People begin to understand the format, predict the experience, and show up with more intention. That consistency not only increases attendance and retention, it also makes it easier for brands and partners to see where they can integrate into the concept. These are the kinds of conversations we explore at our @railzhospitality networking events. Our next Power Lunch is March 31 at Moxie’s in the Galleria. The in-person experience is part of your hospitality product, and it should be marketed to consumers. It is also proof that front-facing staff should be heavily involved in your media strategy. People will choose to visit your space simply because they see friendly, welcoming energy through your content. This tactic can also help you attract high-level employees. Workers under 30 are checking your social media profiles before they even apply. If they see staff who are happy and involved, that becomes a serious advantage. I suggest incorporating managers and bartenders, since they typically have lower turnover than servers. I have the ideas and the equipment. Reach out if you need assistance or consultation. As we prepare for World Cup 2026, location and timing matter more than most people realize. I recently sat down with Emily, Bar Manager at Potente, which sits right next to the Astros stadium and near one of the core celebration and activation zones planned for Houston. While matches will be played at NRG Stadium earlier in the day, most games will wrap around 2 to 3 PM. That leaves the rest of the day for fans, brands, and visitors to move into the city for activations, dining, and nightlife. That is where venues like this become critical. We are working with Emily and her team to start connecting brands, hospitality operators, and event ecosystem partners who want to exchange ideas, explore collaborations, and better understand how these activation zones will function during major global moments. To keep things simple and accessible, we are hosting a light lift networking lunch on January 27 at Osso & Kristalla. Lunch specials will be available, and we will also have a media station powered by B2C Creative Media for anyone who wants to share their story or upcoming projects. Low pressure, high value, and a great way to connect with people thinking early about what Houston hospitality looks like leading into 2026. RSVP through the link in our bio so we can plan accordingly.

We’re in a time where learning new skills and meeting the right people is easier than ever. The real unlock now is figuring out how to combine what you already know with where you want to go next. Daniella is a great example of that. She’s an Austin bartender with a journalism background who’s now stepping into the production side of the industry. Bartending gave her access to people, places, and stories. Journalism gave her the tools to document and communicate them. Now those two lanes are starting to overlap. At Railz Hospitality , we’re intentionally building more of these bridges between hospitality and local business. Not just for content, but for real collaboration and career growth. Through B2C Creative Media, we’re turning those moments into campaigns, coverage, and assets that actually live beyond a single event. Over the next few months, we’ll be activating Austin with this mindset. Pulling together bartenders, operators, creatives, and local brands to show how hospitality can be the connective tissue for a lot more than just drinks.

  • Many creators are launching their own businesses because traditional companies still have not figured out how to work with creators in a way that fully leverages their strengths. Trinity Jackson made a great point during our conversation. Before and after you bring influencers into a campaign, your own online presence has to be consistent and credible. When someone tags your brand and vouches for you, potential customers will still click through to verify who you are and what you offer. If your story is not clear, you lose the momentum that the creator helped generate. In today’s business landscape, you have to master telling your own story before you expect anyone else to amplify it. These are the kinds of conversations we explore at our Small Talk Connect events.

One thing we focus on during our media days is building a full content ecosystem, not just isolated videos. That means structuring the session so we can produce content that entertains, educates, and inspires all in the same day. We always start with a strong venue showcase so viewers know exactly where the story takes place. We pair that with product and service education so customers understand what you offer and why it matters. We also film documentary style interviews to bring out the personality, history, and perspective behind the brand. From there, we add a layer many businesses overlook: comedy. Short, scripted moments inspired by familiar TV sitcom formats consistently perform well because they are relatable and shareable. We adapt those structures to your environment so the humor feels natural to your brand and still communicates the value of your business. When all of these elements are combined, a single media day can produce one to three months of content. It gives your team everything they need to entertain, inspire, and educate your audience, which is the foundation of any successful social strategy today. If you want to learn how to build content in this format or want support executing it for your business, our upcoming workshop will cover the full process. Reach out if you would like details. Behind the scenes footage is one of the most underrated tools in restaurant marketing. Every menu item deserves its own spotlight, and there are many ways to create it. You can show how the back of house prepares the dish, walk viewers through the ingredients, or use voiceovers to educate people on what makes each item special. This type of content is valuable because customers are already making dining decisions through TikTok and Instagram. If your dishes are not represented there, you are leaving reach and revenue on the table. Highlighting each menu item is one of the strongest long term media investments a restaurant can make. Once it is filmed, it continues to work for you, and it helps guests choose faster when they sit down, which can even improve table turnover and increase sales. We will be covering this approach in our upcoming B2C Creative Media social media content creation class. Whether you want to get into restaurant content creation or you work inside a venue and want to expand your skill set, this workshop will help you understand how to create content that drives real customer attention. Reach out if you want details.

Great content doesn’t start with the camera. It starts with preparation. Whenever I cover a restaurant or event, I use a simple five-shot framework: a wide hero shot, a medium anchor shot, a tight emotional shot, storytelling details, and a clear venue showcase. With that structure, one media day can turn into weeks of usable content. This is the same system we’ll be teaching at our first Social Media Marketing and Media Workshop in Houston this December. If you want to learn how to plan and capture content more strategically, reach out and I’ll share details. 🎥: B2C Creative Media

Grateful to see my partnership video with the Houston Texans and Crown go live on Instagram. Growing up watching this organization and now having the chance to collaborate with them is something I don’t take lightly. What makes this even more meaningful is how much the NFL and its stadium ecosystem represent the highest level of hospitality operations. Every time I get a look behind the curtain, I walk away with a better understanding of how world-class organizations think about marketing, guest experience, and community engagement. I’m excited to take the insights from this project and apply them across my upcoming work, especially as I continue building out event concepts and media strategies in the hospitality space. Appreciate the opportunity and looking forward to creating more value through future collaborations. Check out my brands and reach out if you have ideas!
